Finally got my copy of Shantae Advance! Not sure I trust it though. It's clearly drawing way more power than it should be. My Gameboy Micro hates it. (For context it is fully charged in this clip, I unplugged immediately before filming.)

This is more of a PR statement tbh. Nintendo will of course have accounted for as much as possible prior to announcing the price. What they (and no one else) expected was a significantly higher 46% tariff. That's what is leading to the pricing re-assessment at this point.

Managed to find the chance to watch "The Day the Earth Blew Up"! It was great to get to see a hand 2D animated western movie in a theater for the first time in like a decade plus! I just wish the rest of the audience had been more willing to laugh out loud.

Ok, Transformers 4 was terrible (if the implied "posting while watching" didn't give that away) 5 wasn't so bad (at least by comparison). Main problem with 4 was that the entire last hour was one continues "action" scene of people running around with a macguffin, and I lost interest in 10 minutes.

Rewatched the original Michael Bay Transformer trilogy. Honestly it wasn't that bad. If nothing else their practical effects work puts all the CGI overloaded stuff released before and after them to shame. The plots aren't anything special, but they do the job.
