Giving an inanimate object the rights of a human doesn't make it a person but it may save it from human desecration - on a lighter note is the mountain responsible if there is an earthquake can we sue Mt Cook

Actually my ancestors were Nga Pohi we didn't decimate we ate them preferably with condiments - we welcomed sealers and whalers premarinated what wasn't to like

They preach to their own - the people who won them the election were not these people - they were people worried about their future and Biden/Harris did not address the issues effectively enough.

You are successful because you are in touch with reality at this time voter's are concerned about their own survival maybe the Dems need to focus on that after all the Dems can't help Ukraine or Palistine if they are not in power
comment in response to

People are worried about their own survival so they don't care about the rest of the world. If the Dems want to return they have to address the issues of the voters plus they need to turn off the Clinton's, the Obamas etc it's time for new voices

people don't vote on the big issues they vote on things that effect them and their daily life - it's about rising costs and housing etc - Trump will mess it up and the dems need to have the right policies to step up

I use the dictionary definition - people freak out because they think by calling out the use of the word indigenous the rights of the Maori are undermined they are not - this government will not try to enact this bill as it would be political suicide they are honouring an agreement.

Polynesians colonised parts of the Pacific - it doesn't lesson the rights of the Maori and pointing out the reality doesn't make me less of a NZer. When someone expresses a different opinion or presents a different case it doesn't make them a bigot but it does show the ignorance of others

I am part Maori - we share customs and language with other Pacific Islands - indigenous means to belong to or be from - Collins dictionary - we came to Nz we didn't originate nor live there for thousands of years before others arrived.
