How can you sell just DFC 45? It's in the middle of the Denver Federal Center, which is a controlled campus...

Those who aren't elected to represent others are certainly free to boycott. Those who were elected should be visibly amplifying a message of opposition.

Many veterans did not vote for Trump. Many veterans are Federal employee. This is not some unilateral FAFO where you get to enjoy the leopard show.

Good plan. Alienate the ally with which we share one of the longest and most unguarded land border on earth with an unprovoked trade war and then make actual war with their next largest trading partner. Nothing could go wrong. #August24th1814

I imagine in France they will soon be using "American" as a slur for cowardice the way our popular media did after WWII. They couldn't fathom allowing a hard fought democracy such an ignoble death. #bemorefrench

The most well armed civilian population in the history of the planet should be too terrifying to oppress so easily and thoroughly. #bemorefrench

Sir, the chef has prepared a delectable Waygu patty slow cooked in duck fat and served in your preferred style- ala Big Mac. Accompanied by /frites/ in the French style dressed in pink Himalayan salt and a tomato reduction.

Time to join NAFO I guess.

I am so thankful you chose to attend to stand up for your constituents. I am deeply disappointed in the number of Democratic legislators who chose to silently protest in absentia with their livestreams.

“Silent protest doesn’t work when their goal is to keep you silent.” Brilliantly said!

I held virtual townhalls of opposition for people who already agreed with me and were unseen by everyone else.

It's not going to be half empty. They are bringing in Republican seat fillers.
comment in response to post
Exactly. This is exactly why they all need to go.

And no one outside of the most politically aware will know there is a resistance at all.

They will get views from people who already agree with them. 😐

This is not 2018. It is time for him to be disrespected. He is taking absolute power, this administration is an all together different animal than the last one.
comment in response to post
He has what he wants. Silence in the face of it is akin to acquiesence, and it grows the sense of isolation that those who are otherwise finding themselves newly disenfranchised will not see direct opposition covered by their media outlets.

Absolutely.

Being there and screaming, or chanting, and opposing, and throwing him off his message of WINNING is valuable. The MAGA base that is becoming disillusioned need to see he is opposed when this is covered on Fox.
comment in response to post
Being there and being disruptive. Steal the story, drown him out, make him look opposed when Fox runs the story to his base. Chant. Sing a fight song. But be there. Boebert is a disaster, but she is a loud disaster who made the news (and got elected to a bigger, richer district) being disruptive.

Being there, and being the voice of the constituents is the job. They are the champions selected to fight on our behalf. This is the fight.

If you're going to be performative, at least do it loudly. The silent treatment is only effective if the other side needs your input.

No. This isnt the time for snubbing. This isn't a battle where our elected representives can be conscientious objectors. Go and show us we are represented.
comment in response to post
This is not the time for a sound snubbing in the acceptable decorum. This is the time to go and disrupt.

Yes. Regardless of Republican motivations, the administration is being orchestrated by Putin, ex KGB and Soviet Loyalist. He wants to see America undone the way the USSR was. Deligitamized and bankrupted.
comment in response to post
Go to Trump's address with the intent to disrupt. Yell as loudly as you can. We are on the way to bread lines, senator.

Yeah. Fiat currency doesn't have an intrinsic value. It's a technology, and the US dollar has been, excuse the pun, the gold standard, of that technology for the bulk of living memory. Losing that status as we decline into trade wars on every front is a disaster.
comment in response to post
Putin has no sweeter dream than Americans in bread lines. #trumpisarussianasset
comment in response to post
Sure. Stamp his face on currency about to lose its legitimacy. We can use it to buy a carton of eggs.

They werent thinking. Most people don't. They were feeling, and Trump made them feel righteous and heard. The Dems have failed to make people feel for a while, always appealing to reason and science like they do.

She needs to attend. They all need to attend. They need to attend and make a scene. This is not the moment for a snub. This is the moment to protest with the intent to disrupt. #doyourjobdems #stateoftheunion

Keep protesting. But keep in mind that Tesla protests, and all "peaceful and lawabiding" protests are largely performative. Revolutions are illegal. Get comfortable with that.

Lockheed Martin no longer produces any products that are marketed for the public. We have nothing to boycott. They exist solely in the realm of government contracts and outside of free market reprisals. They are unassailiable, and this is the position into which Musk is migrating.
comment in response to post
Take for instance Lockheed Martin: One of the foundational firms, Martin Marietta began as a materials production company for household goods, construction materials, paint, inks and dyes. At that time, and public boycott could have ruined the company. But today?
comment in response to post
Further, the value that Musk may be losing due to falling public opinion is more than outweighed by the billions of dollars in government contracts he is harvesting from his position. He is brokering contracts for Starlink, SpaceX and Tesla that secure him from public opinion.
comment in response to post
Take for instance, the Tesla movement. I appreciate the demonstrations, however they were defanged before they started when Musk himself predicted the falling value of Tesla investments when the company ceased to achieve growth due to market saturation.
comment in response to post
In order to effectively protest disruption must be achieved, which is often not lawabiding. Disruption is met by force; both the force of law, and the paramilitary force of the police state. This is often prohibitive to peacefulness as well.
