I’d go further than that. It’s becoming more clear every day that religion can impede morality and proactive efforts to reduce suffering. “It’s part of God’s plan.” “I’m giving it to God.” “God will provide.” “Thoughts and prayers” in the place of action, assistance and real love and care.
