Left here but still don’t believe in waving foreign flags unless it’s underneath the US flag which is flag code. That goes for all flags.

They honestly shouldn’t let them visit. I think it’s clear that relations are permanently ruined and Denmark and the US are enemies.

El Salvador was by far NOT the first American concentration camp. We’ve had them plenty before this. Take for example the Japanese Internment camps of WWII

I think her saying that basically black people cant understand what an oligarchy is on being explained it is pretty insulting

Who’s “we”? She was still supportive of the genocide.

You should grease the chains after doing that to prevent them from eroding from use too quickly

Black Lives Matter saw the US really double down on police brutality over protest. After seeing how many black people were hurt, the movement making little societal change in the end, and white people failing to chip in to protests, why would black people do it again? It just leads to more abuse.

My opinion on it is that it’s not wrong to enjoy a childhood movie, so long as in this case that you do not give a penny to the writer JKR, and that you pirate it.

Maybe microplastics have negatively impacted the collective intelligence enough. After all, we all are carrying about a credit card’s worth of plastic in our skull. I can’t imagine the displaced grey matter from that helps the average IQ rating. Maybe this is our version oflead pipes/leaded gasoline

The people who bought the teslas could’ve bought them before he went off the rails. Not to mention, Tesla already has the money from the purchase so you’re just hurting the car owners, not the billionaire. The payments the people make are to the banks for the car loan, not Tesla.

Oh man you know it smells like cat piss and poop in that room. You can evade it with a single cat with good litter box maintenance, but with that many 🤢

It’s just nostalgia. Let people enjoy their things. It reminds them probably of the time in their childhood that they didn’t have to worry about the way the world works, especially given how fucked it is at the moment.

I never said it was hate speech, but that doesn’t mean you’re not an awful human being for saying it. Democracy cannot exist when it’s just a bloodbath over who gets to sit in the big seat.

This dude is a nut job. I’m glad I’m not the only one reading this insanity.

Dehumanization to make an argument for violence is legit what the nazis did to get the Germans to gas the Jews. Think about that for a second. You used the same technique for a moment there without realizing
comment in response to post
Dehumanization is something the nazis did too. You think you’re better than them but you’re stooping to their level using their same tactics as the right wing nut jobs right now

And yet we let them show up at every pride event with their floats and advertisement for their brands as if they stood with us. It was ridiculous to even let them commercialize pride protests to begin with.

If you’re going to be desperate enough to resort to violence due to your side losing, at least direct it to the right target. If you’re going to be violent, go shoot a billionaire.

Christ dude. I’m saying that nut jobs exist under every rock that you find. Any group of people is going to have its tame and extreme. The right wing right now is extremely antidemocratic, but aren’t you proving my point just now about your side?

Let’s not pretend that the vandalism of individuals with Tesla branded cars isn’t a part of the greater conversation with the lash-back against Musk. I’m not sure what the proportion of violence is, but it’s clearly present in the discussion. Right or left, you’re will have nut jobs that go too far.

What even is suicidal empathy in this context? Is he referring to having empathy to trans people who face high suicide rates, or just people with depression as a whole?

One of the two parties are lying, and as much as I detest Musk, I want to believe that he made this offer previously and it was rejected from NASA for over-reliance on a public sector for the ISS operation in management. However, I wish nasa would just say that rather than they they had no offer.

The article mentions a bunch of quotes and explains different members viewpoints, or often lack thereof with little concession in conclusion about whether or not this was political or apolitical.

Why not both

Yes, you’re correct. However, the original meaning I believe is primarily to indicate that you are not intending to naturalize in the country that you are in. You retain your citizenship and typically return after a set period of whatever you need to do there, whether it be work or vacation.
