RESIST.
Every Governor in that room should have stood in solidarity with her in that moment of absolute, textbook, tyrannical bullying. It doesn’t matter what the issue was. What matters is the singling out and attack and threat that was leveled against a sovereign state and its executive.

From whom?
Trump is already a bit rattled due to his falling polls (which he hates), rising inflation, plummeting stock market, and courtroom losses. All signs he’s a loser (which he hates).Angry, he lashed out at the people and demanded more cuts which will piss the people of even more.

He literally told everyone a year ago what he was going to do. He wanted, and is getting, “Generals like Hitler had”. He has a loyalist at SecDef. He has fired the JAG leadership to insure his orders are interpreted as lawful. The story needs to be is Caine a loyalist? He certainly appears to be.

It was likely always Trump’s plan to humiliate Rubio so tapping him as SecState to get him out of the Senate (setting up a true loyalist to take that seat) then publicly neutering him isn’t surprising at all. I’m only a little surprised he hasn’t done the same thing to Ted Cruz.

What an absolute twat. Kudos to Gov. Mills for standing her ground. It’s all about state’s rights until a state tells you to go piss up a rope. You know, Maine shares A LOT more border with Canada than the other States? 611 miles vs. 160 miles with New Hampshire.

I hope they get the weapons and aid and then crawfish on this unconscionable “deal” being made, literally, at the end of a barrel.
Trump will take victory laps for this fuckery.

Trump is a simple mobster. An extortionist. A bully.
He’s a piece of shit.

Could you imagine FDR telling our European allies that we’d stop our support unless they paid us with their natural resources? No, you couldn’t because FDR wasn’t a complete and utter piece of shit. Putin invaded Ukraine for her sea ports and her natural resources included these rare earth minerals.

This makes me sick to my stomach. Could you imagine FDR telling Europe that we’d pull our support against Nazi Germany unless they paid us with their natural resources? No, because FDR wasn’t a complete piece of shit.

This isn’t surprising at all. I mean, who doesn’t want a ketamine fueled, narcissistic, oligarch tear-assing breaking everything like an unsupervised toddler in Swavorsky crystal store? They also could care less. They have F-you money. So what if the world burns. They’ll be just fine.

There’s absolutely a path forward to victory for Ukraine. They were doing well at the start of 2024 until Congressional Republicans stalled the flow of weapons, ammo, and aid for months. Let’s start by continuing to arm them with state is the art weaponry. Volunteers from NATO troops to join too.

25 year trial lawyer here. If ANY of my clients had BLATANTLY done (or not done) what they were explicitly ordered to do they’d have been held in contempt and sanctioned. The argument is easy, if they can immediately stop the funding with an EO they can immediately start the funding with an EO.

For fuck sake. You can see the terror in his eyes and hear it in his voice. He knows the answer is Ukraine started the war. He, like everyone on the planet who isn’t a blind Trump cultist, also knows it’s complete and utter bullshit. He’s not going to give either answer and take the hits though.

They want a delusional ass with an ignorant, easily manipulated, violent, cult following that they can control for their own ill purposes and profit. Make no mistake, Trump will not voluntarily leave office in 2028. Will the US Marshals, Secret Service, and military protect him or the Constitution?

I’ve been saying for over two years that Trump would win and would fuck up the country and government so badly that Republicans would lose every election for a generation.

The US government is a full fledged criminal and totalitarian enterprise. Grift, fraud, self-dealing, open theft of private and secret data/information, retributions, and subjugation to Russian interest all being supported by the right wing propagandists at Fox, Newsmax, Carlson, Jones, et al.

This is the worst of the worst. Unbelievable. The whole US government is now an enterprise of grift, corruption, retaliation, and subjugation to Russian interests. Democrats are feckless and sailing rudderless yelling at the wind for being windy. Patel’s roundup of enemies will commence promptly.

Alabamian here. I can tell you that all the broke-ass or struggling Trump voters are giddy. At least for now. Our #1 employer, UAB, is about to take nearly a billion dollar loss and NASA is about to be gutted. Devastating for B’ham and Huntsville. We’ll see when Medicaid/Medicare/SNAP are cut too.

It remembers. It just doesn’t care and/or is too afraid to use it or their extensive powers of oversight. It bears repeating, had a Democrat engaged in these activities (re: DOGE) Republicans would have filed articles of impeachment, started investigations into everyone, and filed suit to stop it.
