I used to cook a lot for my grandfather, who very likely had some form of ARFID, some of these techniques helped me when cooking for him.

Soups, comforting soups with veggies thrown in, chowders tend to hide them well. Carrot cake, zucchini banana bread. Being relatively sweet, carrots are one of the easiest to hide in things.

Finely grated carrot in jarred pasta sauce, it actually adds just a little something extra, but when cooked, they disappeared texture wise. Mixing riced cauliflower in with regular rice, adjust the ratios however works for you. Those blended juices that are mostly fruit with a little veggie.

Unrelated question, how good at you at seeing through disguises and/or telling faces apart?

*clearly not me with a mustache taped on and a funny hat* Hello yes, I heard you were throwing terrible artists into a volcano?
comment in response to post
Oh, I'm a terrible artist, I can't even draw a stick figure! ...darn.

That green is gorgeous, it's such a deep, warming, lush, fragrant green! I've not personally dabbled in rope play much, but I can definitely appreciate aesthetics, and those ropes are beautiful! As is your ropework!

Cali is maybe a 5 flat. Just make sure you've triple checked your documents, and stay away from police.

7.8 or so generally. 4.8 -5.6 in progressive areas and blue states. 9.7 in most places South of the Mississippi. 15 in Utah. Avoid Utah. Trust me.

All of these places turned into a canvas for imagination. Places to explore, to hide, to wander through and fill with whatever I wanted. None of that was scary or eerie. Just a blank place, all mine, away from the noise.

My mother worked as a jeweler in a department store, she couldn't afford a babysitter so I came to work with her. Sometimes she worked very late, long after the mall had emptied out, fixing watches and wedding rings. My grandmother was a motel manager, we lived on property.

This, exactly this. I grew up with liminal spaces as my playgrounds, the motels my grandmother managed, the rest stops of my vagrant childhood, the empty apartment building hallways and late night department stores of my solitary childhood. They were safe places for me.

Or Ace Attorney where the entire judicial system is corrupt and people are often convicted of crimes they didnt commit due to shakey circumstanial evide-wait.

This is really good, the reflection in the water is especially impressive! Absolutely fantastic work!

We care about you, and just because you "have a much better life than most" doesn't invalidate the struggles and sorrows you're going through. My best wishes to you and your family, and I hope your mother has a speedy recovery.

My best wishes for a speedy recovery to her! She's a strong lady, covid doesn't stand a chance!

God same, it must be so difficult for him, all of that financial stability.

I would love for my life to be harder then. If he's so burdened by troublesome wealth and financial stability, I'd be more than happy to take on some of his burden. I have debt to pay off and medication I can't afford that is making my life sooo easy. 🙄

My boy, he was with me all through my teens, was a comfort through some really rough times, and was really patient with me taking photos of him during my photography phase.

I can't handle the energy a kitten requires, but older cats, they already know what they're about, they have baggage and trauma just like I do and similarly just really need a bit of patience and care. That I know how to do.

My first cat Papi, a persian mix, was 6 or so when my grandparents brought him home, my grandmother had initially been looking at kittens, but he was such a sweet cat, she couldn't say no. He lived to be 19, he wasnt exactly an elderly cat but people often overlook adult cats in general.

That said, the issues occurring right now are still unacceptable and frustrating. Trains are definitely an option for folks to look into more.

I was in the car wreck that I lost my mother to - I've obsessed a little over the safety statistics of cars vs. other transportation. Even with everything going on with the lackluster airline safety standards, flying is still much safer. Additionally, trains are quite safe as well comparatively.

I've settled into "exhausted but rebellious" I don't exactly have a lot of energy left after trying to keep my head above water, but what is left I'll use to raise whatever middle finger I can.

What do you call a risque anime about chickens who are really skilled at bondage? A hen-tie

Our wifi here is decent, but this reminded me that I really should get an ethernet cable run down here at some point.

It's particularly good with coconut milk or cream, canned quails eggs, fish sauce and green onion. But at its base its warming, mildly savory and sweet, and quite filling.
comment in response to post
You can add anything to this, leftover chicken, gnocchi, chili crisp, tajin and pulled pork, tofu, etc. The base is just creamed corn and a liquid blended. Coconut cream is a good substitute too. This can easily be adapted for vegans.
