Or maybe they can just assume we're all poor now?

The reason I got the last problem wrong on my math test was also undocumented immigrants! A predictable line! But most immigrants have probably never heard of RFK Jr and thus more likely to be vaccinated against measles than folks in some of these misled communities where the outbreak is rampant.

Cool article! In regard to the quote you pulled, when it's clear and a substantial moon is out, it's not dark on the water. It might have actually been desirable to travel at night due to the myriad of directional markers in the sky and to escape the glaring sun

I meant something like a button next to the heart for "like" there would be a "fuck that shit" button. It just doesn't feel right to "like" headlines about stupid shit that Trump does, for example

On any other network (or in a sane world), they would have immediately questioned Hegseth about what the Overton window is because either they would not know or they would understand he has no fucking idea what he is talking about.

Unfortunately, Republicans have generally been swooned by Yarvin. An evil bastard for evil bastards if there ever were any! Democrats are unfortunately all too ignorant about Heather Marsh...at their own peril. We (whoever that may be) must leverage and contain the chaos with stigmergy.

I was trying to read into this post as if you were talking about the stories they express themselves with (tale vs. tail). Cats got some stories, though

I originally learned to be a two-space-after-the-period person because it increased my typing score in the game I learned to type on in middle school-back when there were "computer labs" Now I am a single-space-after-the-period person because I don't think it's a good use of white space on a page

LOL! That's the zinger I was not prepared for today. Thanks!

Think of how much those protestors could have been paid if the loss in value of the stock market went to them. I think that would have been a much better place for that money to go rather than vanishing into the air after US economic policy shot itself in the feet

It sure would be great if someone made a website that takes screenshots of a collection of websites (as you did) every hour or so to check and track the differences. But you do have to hand it to them: Fox constantly emits a stunning smokescreen straight out of their collective ass

I tried Illinois everlasting but I couldn't them alive. So i am growing them from seed from wild ones in upstate NY. This year I will be able to save my own hybrids. Some males and sub par fruit are to be expected but that's okay bc we'll just keep growing more.

Good for you! I do the same but sell them for a small amount ($5 each) and then give people lots of extras when they come. Its a Big mulberry, hybrid chestnut, aronia, and black walnut year for me. Zone4b

I would be curious about your success rate transplanting them once the leaves are already out in force. Probably no flowers this year but the bulbs will be fine?

The journalists in this situation handled the issue with dignity, respect, and seriousness. The officials involved handled it like nincompoops. Perjure much?

The last one was the best. So many laughs because I can almost imagine it actually happening (in fact, I am sure he bumbles his way through situations like this all the time)

When I was reading the full article from the Atlantic (thanks Aaron!), two thoughts kept occurring to me: "holy shit!" and "but her emails" Add this to the "Butter Email" files

It does feel like we are living in South Park, where the kids (and people that don't watch television) are bewildered by the utter shortsightedness and stupidity of the adults. Apparently, we are in the "they took our [homes]" episode, where immigrants are blamed for the housing crisis

Also, seeing the village areas used as they were designed is refreshing.

There really are some gems in there. Wow! The aerial pre-interstate photos were pretty amazing. They were clearly used for planning that job. I am glad they documented the existing conditions, i.e., what would be destroyed in the name of interstate commerce and vehicle culture. No issues w/ access

Thanks so much for this reminder! I am looking forward to flipping through some this archive, for sure!

maybe it's an insidious misspelling. "Depart men of Education," read literally, with "men" being used as the male form of "people," would mean removing or separating people from their education. Make America More Ignorant (MAMI) could be an appropriate slogan for that fuckery.
