It can be fun. Being with colleagues and comrades with a shared goal should be fun. It's powerful and moving. Maybe it's a bit old school but I had some brilliant times in strike with Nalgo and Unison.

I reread this today. Written in the @theguardian.com 6/3/94 a year on from the start of the miners' strike. It still resonates with me now. Peace, love, understanding and truth.

I was attendance/safeguarding lead in a LA until 2011. I raised issues with DfE at various meetings/ events about EHE and the need for registration in the context of children missing education. DfE were, it seemed, running scared of the Education Otherwise lobby.
