Saw a dream where I had gone to sleep and left the oven on. It was literally on fire when I came back. If that's not an ADHD nightmare I don't know what is.

Sad to hear these news 😞 I absolutely adore Half-Life 2 and Dishonored for their art direction. Iconic worlds all-round. www.pcgamer.com/gaming-indus...

The first 5 days at my internship have been great. The people there are super nice and supportive and I have quite the variety of tasks every day. Super pleased to be a part of it ✨

I'm happy to say that I might have finally found an internship at a games publisher 🎉 I also realise that I now need to work double time with my thesis in tow. Whoo boy, last strides.

Imagine this affecting your life somehow instead of being cool and doing things the normal way like before this nonsense started

You see games very differently when you start making them. From a player's perspective: Mario travels across the Mushroom Kingdom! From a dev's perspective: Mario is banished from the universe when he touches a flagpole. A perfect Mario clone is birthed and dropped into level 2.

I thought I'd explore myabandonware.com and I stumbled upon Tribes 2. Man... I had this game as a kid, but I never got to play it properly, partly because it kept crashing. Now it's a strange feeling coming back to it. The music, the sfx, the visuals... So much eerie nostalgia.

I've never had a hundred followers, but this being the case now I'd like to express my deepest regret that I don't do follows for follows :( Sorry guys.

Thought that I would send some practical training applications and now it's 4:39 AM. What the fuh.

I've logged around 16 hours into my current project so far and it's helping me once again lift that invisible barrier out of the way. I'm trying to keep this game's scope smaller, but it's so tempting to add all sorts of features. Feels good to be creative again!

Opened up Godot for a change. Maybe I'll manage to put something together this time.

Today's mood is ABBA on full blast.

I hope to read even more books this year. Last year's readings included: •Fahrenheit 451 •The Alchemist •At the Mountains of Madness •The Name of the Wind •The Colour of Magic •Trollslayer (Audiobook) Maybe I forgot to mention some, but I did also read other short stories by H.P. Lovecraft.

Update on Nala. She is still a Nala.

The more I indulge in Warhammer stuff the more I wish I had a well paying job. I'm getting a little more than tired of this student life 🙈

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays ♥️

Empathy 2024

What you avoid holds the key to your creative growth. Don't let fear stop you, embrace it. The more terrifying the endeavor, the bigger your growth.

'The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King' was released 21 years ago today 👑

At some point Logitech started bundling GPT software with their mouse software. I found this out because it was causing MASSIVE system instability on my machine. They silently rolled this stuff out and it's not only something I didn't need or want, but it's actively harming my system.

Thought that I might revisit The Witcher for a change. I love this set of covers, but I can't stand the red Netflix label. This should be a crime.

ahahaHaHaHAHAHA

I decided to leave this project as it is for now since I have to concentrate on my thesis more. I'm pretty happy with it, but as it is with all projects, I can't help but see the faults. But it's a good feeling. I know I have learned a bunch from this and can happily put it in my portfolio 🐶

-shows up wearing ceasefire pin -talks about how the art and magic of games comes from the creatives and devs -denounces the games made for quotas and in boardrooms -takes a shot at TGA about giving proper airtime to creatives -doesnt name drop any celebs forget the awards, this guy wins hearts man

Scrolling through Audible looking for something to listen to when I stumble upon an "author" who very blatantly uses ChatGPT and virtual voices. I mean they have LISTED ChatGPT as a co-author and they have published well over 4300 audiobooks. I hate it here. I hate it so much.

I've been having some problems with my PC recently concerning crashing and freezing. If anything, I hope it's not my GPU dying again. That thing is not cheap whatsoever...

Might be that I'm dipping my feet into Brandon Sanderson's works next. I haven't read anything of his before, but the first Mistborn book is waiting on my shelf. The thing is the man is so prolific that it's almost daunting to get started. I'm more than happy to try though!

I just finished reading The Colour of Magic, the first of the Discworld novels, and I enjoyed it! Good change of pace into more comedic fantasy. I might order the next one sooner than I thought, but for now I'll enjoy the sense of freedom as I search my bookshelf for my next adventure.

Finished Cyberpunk 2077 a couple of days ago and I'm still like "what now"

Saw a Cowboy Bebop concert tonight and it was a 15-piece band but in the middle of the show they let the sax player solo for like 12 minutes and it was the sickest thing I've ever seen

I'm trying to build a better routine for myself; Actually getting up early in the morning, making some toast and brewing coffee and trying to give myself a quiet moment just to relax before I just launch myself directly into work and thus anxiety.

I might be making a mistake, but the idea of running a Cyberpunk 2020 campaign alongside my current D&D one is intriguing. The thing is running two (semi-)sandboxes would probably burn me out.

I'm on the last steps of my current 3D project and at the same time I already want to move onto another idea. I have a fun animation thing that I wanna try.
