Judges - both Dem and GOP appointees - are ignoring what Trump is doing. For example, they tell thousands of agency employees who have been laid off to seek relief via internal executive branch personnel review boards. But Trump is also illegally firing people who sit on those boards!

A federal employee wrote about the mental cost of hypervigilance they must now meaintain. Are these emails real or not? Legal or not? What happens if I respond? Or if I don't? These emails seem like one more wave of psychological assault. donmoynihan.substack.com/p/the-weapon...

This would be an absolutely crazy request, by the way. It would put the U.K. in the position of controlling the maximum level of security available to any user anywhere in the world, and doing it *secretly*. If you engage with that request, there is no coming back.

The Democrats on the House Science Committee have set up a website to collect stories from fired federal employees, anonymously if desired. Please amplify. (This helps the lawyers establish standing for bringing legal cases against the administration!) democrats-science.house.gov/sciencefirings

The time stamping as of the time I had earlier composed and edited this post before posting was 1739658432 in Unix epoch seconds = Saturday, February 15, 2025 5:27:12 PM (GMT-05:00). 🤓

Reminds me of the core Unix epoch ‘birth’ date of 01-01-1970. Will also see default of 12-31-1969 when time not synched relative to GMT/UTC time zone in other time zones.

Any computer nerd/programming geek knows if the actual date is unknown, this version of COBOL defaults to 0 as a placeholder, which in this version of COBOL equates to May 20, 1875. Why? The epoch year for this version of COBOL is 150 years ago that was recently referenced, hence the year 1875. 🙄

Here's one piece on this. The fascists have pursued this as a concrete plan since at least 2015. www.emptywheel.net/2024/11/01/e...

Despite the reality of a lot of waste, fraud and abuse in government — there are key parts of government that ARE working on behalf of the people. x.com/samstein/sta...

Delaying cancer research will inevitably impact people’s lives and I find it abhorrent to ignore “do no harm” and deny the promotion of the general welfare (and well-being) of the people with a vital service provided by the government.
