Unfortunately, now that it's here we're going to have to learn how to live with it. The toothpaste cannot be put back into the tube. π«€

Unfortunately too many conflate the Israeli despot Netanyahu's soulless actions with Jews in general who find themselves in the uncomfortable predicament of unable to oust him but end up being wrongly aligned with his actions.

Thank goodness I will no longer need to feel shame over Canada not meeting it's military commitments. What's a commitment if it's always ignored? π«£

Thank goodness to our new Prime Minister Mark Carney. I no longer need to feel ashamed of Canada's not living up to it's commitments.

Blanchot lived during a time when escaping meant surviving. This passage for me reflects how escaping meant not abandoning, rather taking personal responsibility which poetry and reflection enables.

Little doubt our provincial and national governments would agree. The issue is what can be done about it. It appears to be an issue beyond our borders.

If that image comparison doesn't stop you in your tracks and causes you to shudder, you're morally unconscious.

I grow more lettuce than I can consume in my countertop Aerogarden. It's organic and pesticide free.

Thanks for posting this article. As a Vancouverite. I am dismayed by the speed &. recklessness of cyclists on our divided but shared seawall paths. Things have become particularly hazardous with electric bikes and scooters.
Bike helmets may be the law, but without enforcement there's no adherence.

I agree. Chrystia Freeland showed courage and personal integrity by resigning as she did; clearly stating her rationale. I am so pleased that her constituents reelected her. ππ

I agree with you, however I wonder what the best approach might be to bring people over to adopting vegan practices; as an ex-Catholic I can assure you that 'guilt' is not a strong motivator. I believe that emphasizing personal & environmental benefits are more likely to persuade/motive individuals.

I hope (believe) that you're right. The election results should show us more definitively where we are. Hopefully the Conservatives will be greatly diminished.

I wonder if appealing to people's concerns for better health and positive environmental impacts will help spur them to adopting vegan ways. For me it all started with those desires and the purchase of a vegetarian cookbook. I decided to make one meatless dish a week. I found I preferred this diet.

Many of us are saying "anybody but Poilièvre" our country's Republican leader. I think, am hopeful, it will be Marc Carney.
