A new website created by about a dozen federal employees, called “We the Builders,” aims to be a secure outlet for government workers to share stories about how their workplaces are being impacted by DOGE, and a place to explain the real-world impact of its access to government tech systems.

🔥 Finally!! Starmer ready to offer Youth Mobility Scheme. 🙌🙌🙌

I never thought I’d see the day that an electric car became a bigger symbol of stupidity than the Hummer. But with Dr Evil’s Cybertruck, we’re there folks!

This is why Farage is being quiet.

“Zelensky survived a dozen Russian assassination attempts including a special forces assault on his presidential complex. He stood up to Trump. I’m sure he’ll be deeply impressed to learn our Congressional Republicans live as terrified hostages of their own party leader.” ~ @michaeldweiss.bsky.social

🚀 Our paper introducing ImmuneLENS, a new tool that measures T and B cell fractions from WGS data. This builds on our previous method, T cell ExTRECT, that used a signal from V(D)J recombination to measure T cells. Out today in @naturegenet.bsky.social : doi.org/10.1038/s41588-025-02086-5 🧵👇

👀 Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day.

The slippery, sane-washing desperation of Boris Johnson as he realises what his whole-hearted backing of Trump means. Excruciating.

From today, we will no longer be posting regularly on Twitter/X. Instead, we will focus our social media activities here, on Bluesky, where we have been active since last year. Please encourage colleagues and friends to follow us here!

The state needs defence from neoliberals as well as fascists www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2025/02... If the state is to be defended from the attacks it now faces, we have to understand why it is failing, and that is by neoliberal choice. This one is wonkish, I admit, but should be worth your effort.

Yep, DOGE is as incompetent as everyone thought. An $8 million "saving" has been listed as an $8 BILLION saving. That is 14.5% of their total claimed $55 billion in "savings" having been completely made up.

💥 Well how about that. After years of Brexiteers saying we had to leave the EU to avoid being forced into a European army… … it turns out that Brits are fine with the idea. With the UK explicitly included. A plurality of Tory voters support it - and even a fair chunk of Reform. How times change…

"It is well-known that most of the mainstream media do not approach a Labour Government in a neutral way. Some blatantly misrepresent what is happening, but more often they simply do not report activity, leaving people with a sense that the government is doing nothing."

What these nihilistic vandals are doing to dismantle science & medicine—generations of expertise & public service & life improving benefits—is cultural revolution level national self harm. No foreign foe could inflict such brutal damage & senseless suffering on US so fast & effectively & unresisted.

Brexit Voters Explained! - Buffy The Vampire Slayer Edition Faith, from Buffy, perfectly explains how Brexit & Trump voters have been radicalised and why so many won't change their minds.

It’s a cliché to say it—and no two historical scenarios offer a perfectly compelling analogy—but what each American is doing now is what they’d be doing were they a German living in Germany and were it 1936-38 There’s no more doubt about who the appeasers or the bad guys are—they’re in the open now

Vance comes to Munich and lectures Europe on free speech but fails to mention Russia, where free speech gets people murdered. What should have been an important address about conflict is used to push an agenda to Europe's far right. Nobody should trust a word said by his administration.

Immigration, mostly from outside the EU, surged due to Boris Johnson’s Brexit deal. Net migration rose from 184,000 in 2019 to 906,000 in 2023. It was a gift to Nigel Farage, writes Andrew Adonis. www.prospectmagazine...

I often talk about how Good Law Project tries to speak the only language that politicians understand: that of political pain. We are now trying to speak the only language that GB News understands: financial pain. This is how you help. 👇🏻

Trump officials fired nuclear staff not realizing they oversee the country’s weapons stockpile.

Clearly a man of infinite resource and sagacity! Sounds like he nearly had to dance the hornpipe where he shouldn’t have. ‘I felt a slimy texture brush my face': Man describes being swallowed by whale www.bbc.com/news/article...

I did the simple thing of asking a more experienced colleague for advice today and almost instantly, a problem that has been keeping me awake at night for weeks was solved. Don’t be as reluctant as I often am to ‘bother’ colleagues - people are generally very happy to help if they can!

COYB!!!!!! ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Fine, accurate and chilling words by a lad at the top of his game.

🔥 Well... this is now over 88,000 signatures! Just one final push to get it over that magic 100,000 and get a parliamentary debate? Why not! Link --> petition.parliament.uk/petitions/70...

When social media exposes traditional media’s deceit, it’s time for independent journalists to investigate why the press is backing a president who undermines free press—and is it coordinated?

I don't like him. But this is a good summary.

This is what should be on every front page right now. What's happening in the US right now is an illegal power grab by a private citizen. IT'S A COUP. It's a digital coup. It's Musk who's leading it. The consequences are terrifying. And it's coming for us next. 1/ open.substack.com/pub/broligar...

That’s the spirit. 🙏 Good night and good luck.

The UK can secure significant growth of 1.7% - 2.2% through a policy of deep alignment with the EU on goods and services, while staying within Starmer's red lines. This is the approach to push for: peak ambition within the constraints Labour has set. www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/...

"In the run-up to Brexit, a bleached grinch that nobody took seriously was transformed into a Question Time fixture so permanent, I’m surprised David Dimbleby didn’t use him as a desk" My bit on the Brexit anniversary for @bylinetimes.bsky.social www.bylinesupplement.com/p/russell-jo...

Tesla earned $2.3 billion in the United States in 2024. You'd think it paid a lot in taxes, right? Well it paid precisely $0 in federal income taxes last year. You want waste and fraud? Look at what some big corporations and the rich are getting away with.

This is the healthcare model that Reform UK would foist on us.
