A child in the ‘70s [raises hand] said that very thing to his 4th grade teacher. She told me that was ridiculous. (She was one of my favorites … so I share this not as burn, but to illustrate a true reflection of the time.)

Back in 2020 I had a health scare. Had to make big dietary changes. It took most of the summer, but my wife and I came up with a 6 week menu. What’s for supper tonight? It’s Monday of week two. Given my dietary limitations, having to not think about it removed a ton of what’s-for-supper-stress.

I don’t expect anyone to weep for Boston fans … but FSG seems to be following a similar playbook. They seem to think fans will continue to flock to “America’s Most Beloved Ballpark” even if they continue to strive for sustainable mediocrity. We’ll see how the seats fill (or don’t) this summah.

Pretty much this. It’s not my cup of … coffee? Tea? Not sure about the appropriate idiom in this mixed context. Anyway … usually skimmed over it … but it didn’t bother me that it existed.
