As a first generation Irish/American, I am grateful to see such wonderful support

Well, ok, not all the lyrics are applicable - but that first stanza certainly fits

I loved coming thru the front door of Commodore back in 1991 and walking past an Amiga running that demo in the lobby.

Now I’m wondering if my computer knows how to open a .pneg file

Just last night… err this morning, I went to my office and scribbled an idea into an open notebook. Without my glasses on. I hope I can read it when I get to work, but I’m sure (and kinda hoping) it will be dull in comparison to your idea

Now they also need to convert those KN95 masks to fit K9s

Wut? What implies leaving? The ring looks to be in a typical spot

I admit you have good points there. They will lie and we should not go silently

I think they (this administration) wants violence. I think they will push until folks are in the streets then use a feeble excuse for excessive force. They will declare martial law and attempt to delay elections before midterms. Go to the streets, but avoid violence; it is what they are looking for.

Dems should go and, one at a time, as Felon47 is talking, shout out “you lie!”. One by one.

@hcrichardson.bsky.social is posting on a daily basis in both blog post and audio podcast form - though often with historical context. @petebuttigieg.bsky.social doing similar would be a great addition.

Most disturbing quote from article: "The Cybertruck ... has never passed independent crash testing by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and has refused to release its in-house safety testing data"

That must be heartbreaking

The most probable issue she may face is not having insurance to cover the drug. The cost is over $300k/year in the states. With the ACA now at risk, imagine a near future where pre-existing conditions and lifetime caps clauses to appear in the only insurance plan your employer.

Oh NOW it updated. So much for doing what they said they would >:(

Google said they would rename Denali but not the Gulf, as it is not United States waters. My app still says Gulf of Mexico

A vacation to Arcadia in Maine was enough to see the Milky Way. I had not seen it so clear since maybe the 70s in lower New York.

"Tiefer, tiefer, irgendwo in der Tiefe gibt es ein Licht" translates to "deeper, deeper, somewhere in the depth there is a light"

Now realize that this isnt the story at all, as the song came out 4 months PRIOR to the disaster.

Imagine her anticipation; gazing up at space, the moon, spacecraft glinting bright as they pass in orbit. But the song forbodes a coming storm; of death and regret. Picture in your mind, the boats out in the splash zone, or the futile rescue mission, and the sonar searching for the wreckage. 2/3

It had a wonder opening scene, but devolved into typical sci-fi horror and got quite weird at the end… but worth a viewing

Came here to specifically mention Prospect

Here is a weird thing: our Tesla has a normal 12v car battery, but our Elantra Hybrid ‘fakes’ a 12v using its lithium battery. So neither of them can be used to jump an ICE vehicle.

It was worth splitting into two movies for Dune and it was worth it for Wicked too. We really should not have to wait a whole year, however. Why not just release them a month or so apart?
comment in response to post
I am generally against splitting books into multiple movies (looking at you Hobbit!), but found the pacing, musical balance, and visuals were enough to forgive extending to two movies.
