The attention to the detail of the actual scene is phenomenal. It looks absolutely amazing.

What an amazing filmography, what a tragedy.
Going to follow this up with "The Royal Tenenbaums" and then probably "Superman" or "The Conversation".

I LOVE his "Seinfeld" episode where he's the van salesman.

My favorite part was learning that Dana was going to make a Sigmund The Sea Monster movie along the lines of "Gremlins". Man, we missed out. Btw, loved hearing you talk about "The Day The Clown Cried" 🤡 on "Decoder Ring".

Just recently re-watched "Love And Thunder" and I do NOT get the hate. Well, I "get it" but I don't care. "Ragnarok" is one of THE BEST MCU films released. Waititi getting unleashed in the Star Wars universe would be a huge win. Bring it on.

Ok, watched this episode the other day and I honestly think this was the FIRST time I noticed how LONG that censor box was. 🤣

The whole "You won't be needing THIS..." scene was the best lesson 12 year old me learned from this show. I relived it for 14 years until things finally worked out.

Or how Scorsese, a much noted Rolling Stones fan, uses DEVO'S "Satisfaction" in "Casino".
comment in response to

And "Casino" I'm a "music works great with pictures guy" so directors like Scorsese and even James Gunn, the way they USE music to tell tue STORY in their narrative FILM just blows mind. Like the way they use Johnny Cash's "The Man Comes Around" in the REMAKE of Dawn Of The Dead was just UH-MAZING

"Taxi Diver" in the third spot, but "The Departed" always hangs in there for me because Whitey Bulger was a fucking BOSS. Rat, or otherwise, dude was a GANGSTER. And it all becomes this Ourobros of good dude becomes bad dude becomes bad dude??? Idk...maybe I'm wrong, but that's why I live that stuff

Per-fucking-fection.
That long shot of Henry taking Karen through the backdoor of "The Copa", the killing of Billy Batz set to Donovan's "Atlantis", the scene when Pesci is trying to say "Hoof" to Scorsese's mom...and I'm SUCH a Scorsese guy."After Hours" is my second favorite after "Goodfellas".
comment in response to
post
Oh, you're gotdam right. From the opening line: " For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to be a Gangster..." to the FINAL LINE: "I'm an average nobody. I get to live the rest of my life like a schnook."

Eddie's Tracy Morgan impression was amazing.

As a kid movies like "The Warriors" and "Mad Max" and "Escape From New York" always made me afraid of "my future" as an adult bc they were all set in years where I'm basically the age I am now? Lol. Go figure.

I remember seeing it at the drive-in. They would always show 3 or 4 movies. 2 new ones and 1 or 2 "older" ones. The final 2 were always the ones I tried to stay awake for because they were always "the good ones". I definitely remember watching it in the back of a station wagon under my sleeping bag.

Back in 2017 we were in Disney World at Epoct Center. It was around 9:30 and we were leaving a restaurant. We were all fairly buzzed. My Mom and I started hearing ELO "Mr. Bluesky" and I said out loud "That's an AWESOME ELO cover band." There was a Security Guard who said "That IS ELO." 🤣
