My grandmother scrubbed floors for a wealthy family who she recalled being angry when social security became a thing because it meant, "the little people" would be able to retire. This is the mentality we are dealing with, they don't want a middle class, the poor are much easier to control.

He was not good, stuff is meh, combined with control problems when he finally threw something in the zone they hit him hard.

Probably because it's where the other dogs have been walking, he's following his nose.

And the more news there is the more opportunity to spin it, which is how we've wound up where we are today.

Yes there's not only the performance aspect there's the physical end of it as well, the last couple of years of pro ball he's been predominantly a starter, closers are often asked to make appearances back to back they'd need to see how he responds physically to that as well, esp coming of an injury.

Becoming mainstream, the irony is not lost on me that the very sport that has a commissioner solely because of sports gambling now has a cooperate partnership with two of the largest sportsbooks in the world, one of which now holds the broadcast rights to no less than eight of the sport's franchises

Parenting, whether it's a person or a pup, is hard at times because the "subject" often can't understand what's going on, you'll get through it, Hang in there Katie in a few days you'll still be his favorite person.

Losing Seiya would be bad, but Tucker is a huge upgrade especially if it allows you to hang on to Caissie and Shaw.

I mean in 23 he was obviously sacrificing slug for contact because he had waaay too much swing and miss the years prior, it worked out in 23 because he was able to still get the ball out of the infield, harder to do when you can’t make solid contact because you’ve got a core injury
comment in response to post
Belli detractors point out he played in the same amount of games in 24 as he did in 23 with much worse production, but it’s also worth noting he was allowed to completely recover from his knee injury in 23 vs coming back way earlier from the fractured ribs and hand than originally thought this year

I asked this of BN yesterday, was interested in your thoughts, KC is targeting Jonathan India in the trade for Singer, Inida makes roughly 5 Million less a season than Hoerner, would the Cubs have to eat some of Nico's salary to make this palatable for the Royals?
comment in response to post
I'm sure with the Royals cash would be king and India is somewhat cheaper than Nico, 5 million or so, would the Cubs need to eat some of that or?

Tom has said that Jed has the resources if needed to put the team over the top once they are in a position to win. A few have interpreted this to mean that Jed is not spending all that is available in his budget. Do you subscribe to the theory that Jed is leaving money on the table every year?
