That is a phenomenal letter. I’m sure it was very difficult to write, but it really is breathtaking in its unambiguous dissection and take down of Mr Kennedy.

It will indeed Neil - it will do very nicely. That could so easily have been a 4 point switch the other way today.

I agree Gregor - they don’t seem to come at it from a left or right angle, more just outlining what we should expect of public servants and where (and why) he fell so far short.

I get that!

I agree he is awful - but it says something that I view Truss as even worse! How far have we sunk! Did you see “The Rise and Fall of Boris Johnson” Rachel? It was a 4 part documentary (Channel 4 I think). Really, really good, and gives lots of insight into why he is as he is. Worth a watch.

One of the all time greats in my opinion. I would say it’s never been more relevant than it is now. Although it’s a superb book, I have to say my favourite of Orwell’s books is Animal Farm.

Ok then!

I’m sure he would appreciate that - after all, what’s not to like in a lemon drizzle?!

I agree wholeheartedly Chris. The debate in my mind is what would I feel if something like this did come to pass - something I was so fervently against. Would I support the team in the same way. I genuinely don’t know (and having supported Liverpool for 50 years that’s a big call)!

I really worry about the US, and therefore the world, a great deal with this deluded fool in charge. Very scary times.

I guess it’s a double edged sword though Tom. Maybe more are giving to charity since there is a greater need for charity to fill gaps that the state perhaps used to fill? Eg some countries have lass charitable giving because there may be less need?

Quite right - I think that was a very scary day for American democracy, and I have to say I’m not looking forward to the next 4 years!

Well that’s a shame as I’ve enjoyed our interactions on here and the other place. But I wish you well in whatever you do.

Nice - then a quiet break or running around busy one?

Anyway, how are you Harriet? Do you have many more of your concerts to do, or are you winding down for Xmas yet?

Indeed it is - and I blocked those three accounts, then within an hour a new one appears with exactly the same person inviting me to sign up to some dodgy content or other! So blocked that too! Ho hum.

Don’t know Harriet - but I’ve got somebody following me with 3 accounts. Am about to block them - just seems dodgy to me.

Fantastic - not much beats the joy you feel as a parent about something your children have achieved. 👏

I tend to agree - easier to have more pleasant conversations, mostly about unimportant (but amusing) trivia! Let’s hope it stays that way!

Let me ask Harriet - are you finding it nicer on here than the other place? I do hope so.

Well, I think you need to go and sit on the naughty step and have a really good think about what you did. Frankly, you let your followers down - but more importantly, I think you let yourself down!

Ah - the brilliant Raymond! I once did a cookery course at Le Manoir - he prepared a pasta dish to show us all what to do, passed it round, and I swear it was the nicest mouthful of food I’ve ever had in my life!

🤣 At university, got drunk, had my bike with me and was 3 miles from halls of residence. Started walking with my bike back to halls, went past a skip and got pissed man’s logic - decided it would be a good place to sleep since nobody would crash into me. So got in the skip, with my bike, and slept!
