I didn’t know you were on here! That’s awesome. Keep up the great work Chris, you’re making a difference! 👊

You’d also see Republican senators all of a sudden growing a spine if large groups of Americans started hitting the streets. The whole self-preservation thing. It would snowball. People are powerful in numbers. No leader in the world could hold out if the populace decided to come after them.

Leaders tend to be VERY aware of historical instances of mobs doing horrible things to cruel leaders. Trump would be on a plane out of the country if an angry crowd of millions came his direction. It’s just not something that Americans consider, like elsewhere. But we need to add it to our playbook.

The other thing I think we all can do is protest. Not yet perhaps, but soon. The Middle East has this playbook down pat. When a population over there is upset about something, millions of them hit the streets. If we had millions of people in the streets shutting down cities, we’d move mountains.

Very encouraging! The Jan 6th one especially…wow. That’s awesome. The tide is turning.

I love this. So true. We can’t turn away. 🇺🇦 💙

(And maybe it’s just wishful thinking, but I’d like to think that those of us who have been screaming from the rooftops what an abomination all of this is, are starting to have some effect also!)

Agreed. I think a lot of people who otherwise didn’t care too much are really bothered by the idea of siding with Russia and screwing over Ukraine. Russia has been our enemy for so long that it raises huge red flags for Trump to be so blatantly distorting the facts in Putin’s favor.

Well said. I can feel it too. The tide is turning. People are angry, and even those who are only half paying attention are seeing things they don’t like. I have friends and relatives who were pretty apathetic weeks ago, who now are talking social security, or Trump’s treatment of Ukraine.

Cost Plus comes to mind here. I’m not a Mark Cuban hater, or irrational. You’ve done good things. I just think you need to think twice here. The Ukrainians are being slaughtered. Tortured, murdered, losing their homes. Making money should not enter the equation here. They need our help.

I’m certainly trying, doing my small part as best I can, as someone without a platform of millions. You sir, have tons of money and the ear of much of America. What you say matters, and you can make incredible things happen. Just something to think about.

And by the way, the attitude of your first sentence is totally uncalled for. Ya, how dare people support Ukraine and call for us to do the morally right thing and support them? We obviously should be looking at how we can benefit here! 🙄. I swear, this last month is like being in the twilight zone.
comment in response to

How does it happen? By the whole world rising up in anger against the abomination that Trump is trying to pull here. Definitely NOT by calling it a good idea. I get that you’re trying to be a realist, but man, we’ve got to take a stand here morally. For us to do this to Ukraine is vile, evil.
comment in response to

To say that the thievery and extortion against Ukraine is somehow more palatable because it won’t benefit us for years, is so totally tone deaf and immoral.
Forcing a country to turn over their resources to us in a desperate bid for survival…it’s an abomination. Every American should be angry.

And now you’re going to act like people were crazy to get upset about your last post? I’m glad to see so many people speak up so strongly to someone they obviously like and (normally) support. You’re in the wrong on this one big time. Trump’s actions towards Ukraine are indefensible.

I can’t express fully how disappointing this post is to me. Giving credibility and support to the most horrible thing any American president has ever done…I’m just floored. In a sane America he’d be impeached for this alone. It’s ghastly. Ukraine deserves our support, not to be taken advantage of.
comment in response to

Mark, I’m normally a big fan of your posts and ideas. But man, this one is honestly appalling. There is NOTHING positive about the leader of our country trying to blackmail Ukraine. And that’s what it is, not a negotiation. It’s using their desperate position against them, to make money.

It’s stunning to me how, at almost 50, I have never hated anyone even close to how much I despise Trump. What a vile human being. 😡 How does he have one single supporter, talking to people the way he does?
(Of course I know the answer sadly…many of his supporters are just as bad of human beings!)

Another thing I think Trump and MAGA and super conservative Christians have done is make Christians look TERRIBLE!!! You can’t support someone like Trump and then go back to preaching Jesus’ message.
Making Christianity look bad is also something Satan would strive to do, I’d imagine.
comment in response to

I’m not religious, but he clearly fits the mold. If Satan were to come and try to destroy the world, I feel like his agenda and approach would be very similar to Trump’s. Turning everyone against each other, causing misery and suffering, encouraging hatred and meanness…I could go on and on. It fits.

I was telling my best friend recently, if Trump stood up at the podium and announced that he is actually Satan, I think that would be the least surprising thing he’s said. I feel like I would just nod and go about my day.

I saw a Republican senator earlier today had some pretty strong words for how Trump has handled Ukraine. Basically called him a liar and said the American people and congress stand with Ukraine. It’s a start. Momentum is starting to shift, people are calling their reps, on both sides.

Now THAT’S courage and dedication. Very impressive. The Ukrainian people continually amaze me.

Hell, it’s the kind of thing they’d release just to cause us pain. They’d find it funny. I really believe that if this is true, we will have confirmation someday. Probably not in time to matter though, sadly.
comment in response to
post
It will come out eventually. Someone will leak it, or Russia will release it intentionally if Trump steps out of line. Or perhaps after Trump is no longer useful, just to destabilize us. Can you imagine the controversy, Russia confirming that a former PRESIDENT was one of their agents?
comment in response to
post
Normally I would dismiss this kind of thing. But Trump’s wild positions and statements on Russia and Ukraine are weird even for him. Like Scaramucci said, something has to be up. Russia has dirt on him or has recruited him as an agent. Nothing else makes sense.
comment in response to

I hope you’re right. It’s absolutely treason. Right out in the open for everyone to see. (Which of course makes me think there’s probably much more behind the scenes that we don’t know about. Secret deals and such. It will come out eventually).

What an absolute abomination. To turn on Ukraine after all they’ve been through and side with Russia…pure evil. Just sick. 😡

Called an astronaut “fully retarded” today also. It’s like him and Trump are fighting for who can be the more awful human being. What a dark time for our country.

It’s too bad it takes that…any American should have been able to look at what he did on day 1 and go, no, this is not okay. But whatever, I’ll take what I can get at this point. As long as they get it before it’s too late and join the fight.
comment in response to

You’re right, there are way too many Americans on the sidelines. But I think unlike any president we’ve ever had before (even Trump I), this time he’s hurting people from every group, every demographic. Once people start feeling the pain directly from his madness, I think many will come on board.
comment in response to

I hope you’re right. It would need to be that big of an event to get the needed attention. A Middle East style demonstration with millions of people, shutting a city down.

Between this and what he’s been saying about social security, I’m ready to fight. I was already pissed, and he’s tipped me over the edge. It’s no longer political, that evil man and his goons are destroying the world. If he’s not controlled by the courts or congress soon, I think you’ll see riots.

Couldn’t agree more. Makes me soooo angry. 😡. Zelensky is a hero. And so many Ukrainians have died. It’s an abomination, what Trump has said, truly one of the worst things a world leader has ever said. I have trouble finding the words, but I am LIVID!!!
comment in response to

Yesss. The Ukrainian people have been so impressive. To have fought off Russia for this long, it has surprised everyone I think. But long term, they lose without support, which would mean almost unthinkable things for Zelensky and many of their people. Makes what Trump is doing all the more evil.
comment in response to

Why hold back? I’d be curious to hear what you have to say if you’re an expert on the subject. Trump is clearly in the wrong, putting it very mildly. What he’s doing to Ukraine is almost unspeakably horrible. It’s going to take people speaking up loudly to stop this.

Oh ya, there’s been others, dozens of them, in like a month. But saying that the war was Ukraine’s fault was just so…soulless, so evil, so cruel…I think it bothered me more than anything else he’s ever said. The comparison others have made on here of a rapist blaming the victim is spot on.

Flat out lying, bashing Ukraine, and defending Russia….I’m searching for anything in my memory that an American president said that was close to as awful as this. There has never been a stronger case for impeachment. This is treason, Trump is spitting in the face of our allies for Russia’s benefit.
comment in response to

Agreed. We are sooooo far past the point of a justified impeachment already. Our country has never seen such treasonous, criminal behavior. And he’s just getting started. Our country will be lucky to survive this. Impeachment isn’t just the right thing to do morally, it needs to be about survival.

I can’t even put into words how angry his comments about Ukraine made me. What a total betrayal of not only Ukraine, but everything the U.S. has ever stood for. All of our values as a nation.

Absolutely right. Good people have no common interests with Putin and his regime. NONE! Putin is a monster. And so is Trump. Pure evil, both of them. Anyone helping them will go down in history accordingly.

So that’s my prediction, and my plan. If he takes away our social security, I’m hitting the streets, and I think millions of others will as well. They can jail me or do whatever. It’s time to fight.
comment in response to

And I’m already angry. Social Security would be a red line for me. THAT’S OUR MONEY!!! It’s not some handout or scam or fraud, we pay into that every paycheck for our whole adult lives! People would die because of that. Lives would be ruined. People homeless.
comment in response to

Right?!? I was thinking the same thing. Steve Bannon is the voice of reason in MAGA land. That’s how utterly insane the Republican Party has gone. And you’re right, it’s an EPIC overreach. This could be what tips it over into a civil war or riots or who knows what. Millions will fight, me included.

If he touches my social security, I’m going to go fucking ballistic. There will be riots in the streets. I’m already pissed, but that’s a red line for me. That’s OUR money, we pay into it every paycheck for our whole lives!!! 😡😡😡
