I’ve speculated it will be: 1. When they experience the consequences of their actions personally. (Because they have no empathy.) 2. When it becomes politically and professionally convenient for them to have “never supported him.” (Because they have no integrity.)

Hey may be and likely is, but he is not a murderer in the eyes of the law until he is adjudicated as such. And we have laws and rules of evidence that exist in our courts about how evidence can be obtained, and (with limited exceptions) violations of the rules have consequences for inclusion.

I was just journaling on this the other day - the church I grew up in spent time chastising the Pharisees and Scribes for ignoring the suffering servant messiah that came in favor of of a king they demanded, and when he wasn’t to their liking the chanted “Give us Barabbus!” Instead.
