Same with a business running Fox News on one of their TVs.

Welcome to Soviet-style military where appointments are made based upon party loyalty, not qualifications!

The least qualified pick in our history of CJCS(s). His resume screams he is neither a warrior nor a leader! Moves us closer to Soviet-style military where party loyalty is more important than qualifications.

Yep. We need better mechanisms to eliminate wasteful spending. We need better tools for supervisors to more easily fire underperforming employees. We need to remove lobbyists influence on appropriation set asides.(Just to name a few) BUT we don’t need DOGE chainsaw destroying our Federal government

Apparently you can wave away an agency and ignore appropriation law.

I wish CA, OR, and WA would enter into discussions with Canada on becoming a province. We would move there in a New York minute!

If you can get 77 million to believe J6 was just a bunch of tourist, no lie is off the table. Official US stance: Zelensky started it I would be very worried if I were Taiwan right now.

Now we know why the President’s team is swearing out affidavits that Musk is NOT in charge of DOGE! Trying to insulate him from lawsuits and possible criminal charges.
comment in response to post
Yep. The chainsaw that Musk is taking to the Federal govt is intended to lead to corporate anarchy—that is, corporations unbounded by law. His secondary goal is to destroy any hope that government works for us. The crushing workload on remaining few govt employees will ground Fed govt to a halt!

You’re a superstar! Thanks for being everything a patriot is supposed to be!

I’ve contacted Sen(s) Blackburn, Hagerty and Rose office several times. I provide phone number and email. Sen Hagerty is only one to respond via a dismissive scripted form email.

The more traffic to X, the more $$$ in Elon’s pockets. BTW, Government websites have to be 508 compliant. Is DOGE.GOV?

Similar to what he said about COVID testing—“If we stop testing right now, we’d have very few cases, if any” Actual data and analysis destroys their narrative and credibility.

Also, there may be “at will” termination fees included that could be as much or more than if contract had completed.

Cuts also lack any impact analysis—especially in the 2nd and 3rd order effects. It’s like going into an electrical panel and switching off power without knowing who or what is impacted BUT then proudly claiming you saved electricity!

While I was there, two independent OIT-wide staffing studies conducted by highly reputable outside firms indicated OIT authorized positions were about 1/2 what staffing models projected. Along with that, authorized positions were rarely filled at 100 percent. So, yep, setting up to fail.
comment in response to post
They are lying. OIT is traditionally understaffed in the first place. As ticket backlog grows, the lack of IT supports reverberates to all VA operations. VBA processes VA claims. Most are low paying GS positions. So, high turnover. Claims will backlog and Vets will wait longer to get claims processed

Yep. Noticed earlier he won’t say…so, we know they were horrible deal for the US and probably Europe.

Yep. Agencies fail audits (FISMA) when separation of duties not enforced in software.

Gerrymandering is anti-democratic no matter what political party does it. Two Constitutional changes are greatly needed: Anti-gerrymandering and no Fed employee should ever be granted absolute immunity!

These kids will not understand the file/data structure of VISTA (the VA system of record). Data in the VA systems is easily misinterpreted. If one or more of the highly skilled VA data analysts doesn’t join, any data these kids get should be considered useless. But Musk and Trump will act anyhow!

It’s“protection” money. We’ve all seen enough of GoodFellas to know that. www.cnn.com/2025/01/29/b...
