Like, I wish the tactical shooter genre had more accessibility. The learning curve is so steep it can be frustrating. Same with a lot of survival games. The only one I've seen ramp players on well is The Long Dark. And outside of Red Orchestra 2 maybe, no tactical shooters do. It sucks.

Also, I think it can work thematically like in Hell Divers where part of the point is that life is cheap and you're just a disposable grunt. But I get not liking a mechanic at all. Not every game has to be for everyone. Though as mentioned elsewhere, accessibility features are always good.

So with friendly fire, yeah I think it's stupid in a frantic arcadey game like Left 4 Dead, but if it was left out of a tactical shooter like Insurgency or Squad it would be weird, because those games are designed to reward communication and awareness.

I've taken to looking at Amy game mechanic and asking "is it necessary for this game?" Like fall damage: didn't need it in Borderlands so it's not there. But in a game about traversal or climbing like Jusant or sections of Half Life 2 it would ruin the experience to have no fall damage.

That was fantastic. Idaho doesn't have anything half as good. Though Boise re-did the capital flag to look like a pride flag after there was a ban on state buildings flying pride flags.

I love these little contextless glimpses at the UK. I only ever understand about half of what's going on, but it's still great fun, and I can't help but wonder what a glance over at Idaho would be like for you. Probably depressing.

I liked the horror demos showcase! I think it would be cool to see videos on your favorite game mechanics. Do you think you'd ever do some content on strategy games?

This was a major mindfuck as someone who grew up in Colorado. The line was always "oh no! Gotta pay attention to the weird lonely kid!" Which as a weird lonely kid, was again, a mindfuck.

I will pit in another vote for Hades. If you haven't played it yet it absolutely lives up to the hype. It's actually my favorite videogame.

I've been debating with myself and I think it might be worth spoiling the game to see the video
