It isn't going to happen. Trump will do what Trump wants. I fear Ukraine will be thrown to the wolves and UK/EU will try and appease Trump and come up with some form of words to justify their failure. The EU/UK/US failed back in 2014 - that was the time to stand up to Putin. Now is too late

The sad answer to this is about 4 years (or more) The only way this will change is when the American voters realise what a deluded fool Trump is and dump him. The media is so broken in many ways with the vast majority of comments/articles complete fiction. Their only interest is profit

While all these are good things, if Labour want respect and support from the voters then they also need to do something tangible that helps the number one issue - cost of living. Telling people they have a pay rise in one hand yet taking more in the other doesn't make them look good only worse

Just goes to show how insecure he is Tantrum Trump

Congratulations indeed. Well done the greens. Worrying though that Reform came second. I would have hoped Lib/Dems might have done better than Reform

Absolutely agree and so is his puppet master. The UK had better wake up quickly

Spot on Catherine - however that kinda rules out almost all the current politicians. We would actually do better if we could introduce some form of control on social media

Cooper tying herself up in knots and Philips not good enough to call that out. If rejoining SM + CU are your red lines, you’ll have the highest barriers to trade and the most red tape. Only alignment and greater cooperation (on, say, youth mobility) reduces that slightly. Tired of the lies, Yvette.

If you say something that is a complete load of tripe enough times then people believe it. This is Farages policy. Lie enough times then the truth is questioned.

What disappoints me is why the British voters even bother to listen to him He should be deported at least - I fear for our democracy in 4 years time - although we will have had the benefit of seeing Trump trash the US standing in the world

Totally agree with you however IF the Tories want back in power they will need to change their policies - even Kemi B is having second thoughts on some of the decisions. The real problem comes from Farage. I can't believe that that Labour can continue as they are - otherwise they are toast

I wonder if Musk is behind this. Sadly the German voters are going to be swamped with these sort of lies right up to the German election

Lots of things were signed into law but have been changed over the years. Brexit was based on lies and false assumptions and as we get to vote on our current Governments achievements every five years surely its in the interests of unity to have another referendum

An excellent document and surprisingly frank and even handed. Unsurprisingly it shows how fragmented the Conservative party is and what a total plonker and liar Johnson was

Starmer doesn't have the strength nor gumption to get closer to EU. He is frightened of losing votes to Farage but sooner or later either Starmer (or his replacement) will have to re-join he will lose his majority. We need someone with vision and strength to replace him and not Reeves

Putin springs to mind - Trumps ramblings about Canada, Greenland and the Panama Canal are in the same vane as Putin and Ukraine

Hard to say as I am old enough to remember that we hardly ever heard of "mental health" years ago. Our parents would say don't be daft and get on with life. I'm sure there are genuine cases but can't help wondering if this is some sort of current excuse. 55+ just get on with life

Use of retirees and volunteers as little specialist skills needed as they patients are bed blocking
comment in response to post
Agreed but the Government could turn it to advantage by building on the concept. Instead of equipping them with all the kit etc. build them smaller with basics and beds and run by small team so that bed blocking can be reduced and reducing A&E beds in corridors
comment in response to post
NHS in crisis so why don't we build Nightingale hospitals to clear the bed blockers and staff them with service people and retired NHS staff. We don't need ventilators etc. or doctors and trained nurses. The current situation is beyond belief and throwing money doesn't work We need action NOW

Here here. Talk about loosing our democracy we lost our freedom to move and live where ever we choose. FOM should have been part of any leave/remain agreement.

This is probably true but we will continue to go round and round until we try. Why not see what the terms are then put it to a referendum (without the lies) Whatever the outcome it could stop all the in/out debate that is killing this country. The longer we leave it the harder it becomes

Trump will never allow Smith to release his documents. It may get pushed around for a week or so but in the end Trump will win and probably throw Smith to the wolves. I really don't understand the US people - are they all crazy

This is absolute rubbish Streeting sounds more like a Tory every day - just announcing money followed by a lengthy enquiry. There are things that could be done now and why haven't they got a plan in place after all they have had 14 years to work on this
comment in response to post
Its a huge factor Starmer is afraid of Farage winning Tory votes and collectively all politicians would NEVER admit they were wrong - ever. So we will slowly decline in world standing Even the word "Great" will be dropped when Britain is mentioned
comment in response to post
To be fair I don't know much about this but feel its a bit rich for the Tories to blame Labour when they had 14 years to sort it out. Sure some women would have known at the time but not all and things have moved on. They haven't been robbed simply never had it. More important things to worry about
comment in response to post
Well whoever owns them the taxpayer will end up paying one way or another. If nationalised then we won't be paying bonuses and dividends like the 2.3 billion paid out over the past few years. That money could have gone some way to upgrading the system
