Thank you to whoever added Paint Shop Pro, I've been a PSP user since the JASC days and continue to love it, I buy a new version every 4-5 versions they release and it is a wonderful, stable, easy to use software that's compatible with a bunch of PS plugins and paint brushes too.

Secretly hoping that the second movie is Phantom of the Paradise, feels like it would be a good counterpoint

I love those. We riffed "Werewolf vs The Vampire Women" and "Dracula vs Frankenstein" for my old youtube show back in the day

"Would you fancy some tea, Mr. Sauron? And this batch of scones turned out lovely." he says, as one of the orcs holding the tray nods enthusiastically.
There are crumbs all over its face.
"STOP FEEDING THEM, THEY ARE GETTING FAT"
"They're just bulking up for the winter, Mr. Sauron"

When Sauron tries to summon the Nazgûl to aide him, in addition to the Riders he also gets one very confused Hobbit eating pudding with a fancy spoon.
But, plot twist, now there's a very contented and happy Nazgûl hobbit with a cursed ladle that's now the head chef somewhere in the tower.

Being the practical sort that they are, they never wore the rings. A couple wound up in junk drawers (the hobbit version of "a dragon ate them") while one was melted down and used as accents for a very nice set of commemorative spoons featuring the likeness of Sauron on top of them.

Guy in 1890: "The Cleveland Infants? That's an incredibly bad name for this, our Cleveland baseball team. That will definitely go down in history as the worst team name we're ever going to have."

This caused me to have two opposite responses at once. One part of me went "I didn't even know there *was* a Twin Peaks subreddit", and the other part went "OF COURSE THERE IS" and then threw a chair. I feel like both are valid responses.

I am honestly surprised, with all the Nostalga-Baiting that Rifftrax does (and this is not, in any way, a complaint about it) that they've never hit up any of the others. Wonder if it's a rights issue.

If so, that still means we have narrowed the scope down to one thing that it definitely ISN'T about, and with Lynch that's... honestly something.

Mighty Jack was in good company, Sandy Frank loved doing that to Japanese series. Time of the Apes was 'Saru no Gundan' and Fugitive Alien 1 and 2 were both 'Star Wolf'.
Unfortunately, when Frank made his, he usually edited first and last episodes together, so no real way to do more of 'em.

It had the STRONGEST trio of final episodes of any season... Space Mutiny, Time Chasers, and Overdrawn at the Memory Bank - that trio alone justifies everything else done in the Scifi era.

There's a guy who made a 5+ hour long video on YouTube that tries to "explain" Twin Peaks and what he thinks Lynch's original intent was based on clues from the show(s) and movie, as well as interviews that Lynch gave afterwards. It's really fascinating and I kinda think he may be correctish?

Here's where I got mine from. It only has one unique part that's not included in one of the other two, however limb placement is different scramble-city style, using the ambulance for a leg instead of an arm. I really hope this company keeps making more things. www.aliexpress.us/item/3256807...

Can you have Gary officiate the divorce so you can say that not only did he kill your dad, he broke you and your wife up too?

Here's Hello Carbot's Samba series Drill Burst, one of my favorite stupid Korean robots that I picked up on my trip last winter. He's two robots, one a smaller humanoid and one a sort of a drill mole, and they can combine into either a big drill tank or a bigger robot with drills on it.

If you get a chance, can you get a pic of that Ultraman stand I see in the background? I'm really curious what they're advertising to the US audiences for the Ultras now that the whole Chinese IP theft thing has been resolved.

Such a better cover than the awful modern version. VHS covers really are a lost art.

There's already a standing "This is Awesome" chant that they often do, they just tweaked it a little bit. We're still nowhere near the speed of football hooligans, but I appreciate a good bit of improv

Space Mutiny LIVE! is also really good. They show the unedited movie, and you realize that while MST3K did cut the movie down a lot, nothing of value was lost.

Only downside is that Mastodon has a higher character limit than BlueSky (our default is 500 characters to your 300) so some posts might get cut off - but if they do, they've got a link to Mastodon so you can see the whole of whatever terrible nonsense I wrote
