Might as well be an eternity, the way I’m feeling.

Start billing them for it. I bill corporate clients every minute of my time, and so should everyone. They don't have to do 401K match or provide you with any benefits, so don't let them take your time. 😁

Very sad indeed, sir! If I squint (hard) and search for a silver lining, it is that you are speaking out about this, and I think we need more voices like yours.

The only place I see this being used and not immediately catching fire. Is a social media click farm.

Personally I think it’s important to read the words, but audiobooks have their place for sure! They are marginally safer to “read” while you’re driving.

Blocked for respectfully disagreeing with you? Fair, but silly.

I would like to agree to disagree. IMHO, AI art is as much art as Dr. House is a Doctor. Whether you’re reading a prompter or writing a prompt for AI, it can amuse and entertain us but only represents reality.

After being on #bluesky for a week, I got rid of X and Threads. I really can’t go back after having this much control over my feeds. You won’t miss it, unless you love doom-scrolling. 😋 #xodus

One day, we will no longer need to see or hear what they have to say. Even if they came over to BlueSky, the block feature and the control we have over our feeds will help keep them in their little bubbles of hate and misinformation. #xodus #xitter #bluesky

Brought to you by the party of "Freedom" and "small" government.

Wow, I agree with MTG!?!? Ethical standards should always be followed by our elected representatives, and we should know when those standards are broken. Release all the reports!

Just proves that without someone to hate on, many of them would lose their purpose and would be forced to get a life.

Personally, I record my random ideas in my voice recording app as I get them. It might not help you right now, but as time goes on, you can just start listening to the recordings and something will pop into your head. I like this because the rambling can trigger adjacent ideas.

If you’re doing what brings you absolute joy and you have no friends or family, sure, but most of us need time to be human.

Agreed, but I think we use Social Media for community and communication purposes as well.

Being preemptively blocked usually means you have been heard, asked to leave, and refused to do so. This isn’t a bubble or a safe space, this is a place, we hope, that will foster communication and community, not confrontation and trolling for the thrill of it.

I’m cautiously optimistic about Bluesky, and I’m hoping that blocking and reporting bad actors on this site reduces their reach significantly.

Agreed, AI and Crypto are not just fads. I believe that the reliance on AI will begin to flatten soon though. It simply can’t be the solution to everything. Its lack of perspective and real time experiences provide us humans with a natural upper hand.

Agreed! No matter how capable AI becomes, real human writing and perspectives will be like an oil painting compared to a digital picture. The digital image is clear and high resolution, but there is no soul, texture, or lived experience.
