sorry for just dropping lore about ian's aetherical struggle between balanced and dark and how his stupid viper swords help him. he keeps them on his right side, both holstered over the other w/ the second turned more onto his back -- his right arm has nerve damage so left draws first.

lore wise, z'ahzi's staff was made from the shattered remnants of his gunblade. upon completion and z'ahzi's first battle as a whm, esteem was still Very Much There and splintered the bottom, turning it into a scythe. now it acts as those two combined whenever esteem decides.
