The hockey equivalent of Mercury in retrograde: Habs fans cheering for the Leafs. #GoHabsGo

Starting April in a playoff position with a chance to sweep the defending cup champs… you can't tell me this hasn't been a good year for the Habs. #GoHabsGo

Win and we're back in (for now). Goddamn but it's good to be playing meaningful games at the end of March. #GoHabsGo

Corrupt judges let a criminal get away with treason and run for president. Propagandists masquerading as journalists lied to enough people that the criminal won. Then the criminal sold a half share in the presidency to the world's richest man, whom no one voted for. That's what happened, folks.

Apparently when people like Rubio claimed to be opposed to Castro's authoritarianism it was the Castro part they opposed, not the authoritarianism part.

All things considered, the Flyers might be a more dangerous team tonight than their recent record suggests. Habs need this game, they had better buckle up. #GoHabsGo

Wow

Poilievre insists not being aware of India helping his campaign just practice for not being aware of America helping his campaign

What the fuck is up with Sportnet? They've basically dropped the last half of the first period. #GoHabsGo #FFS

America was given a choice between a lawless, amoral monster and a qualified, intelligent, joyful woman of color—and it chose the monster. We need to reckon with the reality of what that says about so many of us here. johnpavlovitz.substack.com/p/america-ch...

Spare a tear for the onion and the beaverton, which can no longer write satire that is more ridiculous than our reality 😔

AI chatbots are still anti-thinking plagiarism machines that are wrong most of the time. I don’t care who uses them or says they’re great or thinks they’re our collective future. My future involves a lot of thinking, original work, and getting things right, so I have no use for them

I'm surely not alone in this, I bet there's at least a couple million Americans who are right here with me, but if I took the time to consider all the crap and bullshit I'd gotten from fellow citizens for questioning American exceptionalism over the past 15 years...I'd have to take the longest nap.

So I’m getting started reading Values by Mark Carney and I want to share some shots of how this book starts because it makes me blink in surprise. If you haven’t read it, I think you might want to, because this is what Canada’s new prime minister was thinking about five years ago.

Putting the Arctic Ocean closer to the center, this brings the Greenland Canada gambit into focus. It is a grab for power, money, water, and resources, also giving the US complete control over the Northwest Passage. Fentanyl and the border are a smokescreen for a much bigger project: theft.

I’m a Jew who grew up with a fair bit of antisemitism, and who later worked for & with Jewish orgs, and I’m furious at the small number of Trump Jews—fascist Jews—who’ve managed to misrepresent themselves as the whole. & also at the goyim who exploit that or fall for it.

Cave, et cetera.

That moment of intense annoyance when you realize that the two teams you are chasing are playing each other tonight. #GoHabsGo

Yep. I have not investigated Khalil's views, because they don't matter. The First Amendment protects speech, and that has to include speech we don't like.

Dropkick Murphys just had an epic moment at their show: They made a friendly wager with a fan in a MAGA shirt—“Let’s see where it’s made.” Then they checked his MAGA shirt tag… Made in Nicaragua. They swapped it with a Made in America Dropkick Murphys tee. Legendary.

To clarify: I was reluctant to use fascism pre-Trump. And even then I wrote of the Battlecry movement as fascist. I called Trumpism a fascist movement from the day he came down the escalator and began writing about it as such in early 2016.

I like looking back at this one as the "years old" thing keeps ticking up

14 minutes in and Habs have 1 shot on goal. I'm thinking that's not enough. ##GoHabsGo

I can't believe that SportsNet still hasn't figured out how to broadcast prerecorded content without the audio skipping and glitching. It's been like that all season. #GoHabsGo
