Bondi put these documents out because she knew loyalist propagandists would lie about their contents. She also did some lying herself. This is simply inaccurate. There is one source alleging gang membership, and that source is a police informant, ie someone against whom there is evidence of a crime.

This by the way is an epistemological tactic of bullshit that descended from QAnon and was honed by the likes of the Twitter Files crew and Rufo. They know that if they tweet a screenshot of a document, the vast majority of people will take their word on the interpretation, so they lie, blatantly.

One of my friends loves opera and tried Maskerade as her first Discworld and it put her off Pratchett completely because "he's so mean"
For me it's not as bad as Stephen King's fatphobia but it's not great

"NOAA Research costs every American citizen less than a cup of coffee a year, with large returns on this small investment. This is a prime example of effective government — one that helps grow the economy and keeps people safe."

A significant chunk of Americans already live in the world of "alternate facts" that Trump has conjured up for them. Climate change is a hoax. J6 was a day of love, AND also an inside job. Ukraine started the war with Russia. Covid was a Chinese bioweapon. etc. etc...

Very confusing from a US perspective where in our economy the 99% are much less important than the 1% and that's *bad*

bending over backwards to grant the Trump admin every nicety and legal courtesy is no longer enough, Trump demands public obeisance at all times and every ruling must now be "yes sir mister president sir you're right" or the open defiance will continue
they must acknowledge their own powerlessness

AOC and Bernie flying around the country giving big speeches about how much these people suck: drawing record crowds, everyone loves it
I could go on for a while here, hopefully some elected officials get the point

across generations, there isn't a substantial difference in the rate of autism between older and younger generations.
- The data we have on autism shows that it has distinct developmental features that pre-date receipt of any vaccines (that's what Kennedy is setting up the blame for).

track extremely closely with changes to diagnostic criteria (which broadened them and also involved diagnostic substitution i.e., things that were not known as autism in the past became part of the ASD umbrella) and changes to screening practices. Moreover, we have data showing that when you look...

Shall we count?
- Autism is not a disease, it's a distinct neurotype. Referring to it as an epidemic is profoundly dehumanizing.
- There isn't good evidence that the actual rate of autism has increased over time. There is a large body of evidence demonstrating that rates of autism diagnoses...
