It's "going into the wild," already, i.e. into the Trump/Musk regime, which has already seized funds from NYC's bank accounts. Imagine when they do it to individuals.

That is exactly right. IRS and SSA databases can be combined with social-media histories and other online footprints and scanned with AI to create enemies lists. Then IRS and SSA processes can be weaponized against those enemies, along with law enforcement actions and travel restrictions.

Don't sleep on the possibility that the doge boys are cutting back doors into everything, and will still have access to systems after they have been physically thrown out and their lanyards taken away.

VERY IMPORTANT for Dems to announce that the second they are back in power there will be trials, just like Nuremberg and My Lai. These people need to know they will eventually go to jail for a long time.

“As your democracy crumbles around you I figured I’d hop on here to point out my singular achievement that still exists at least for now. It really is all about me after all. Good luck, peasants lol.”

Personally, instead of congratulating yourself for making a policy that wasn't enough(and was gutted by republicans that you worked with), I think you should actually try and help stop the fascist takeover going on. Ya know, instead of doing nothing. But I'm sure you'll be fine as people suffer.

Welcome! Happy you are here.
Now, can you please round up the other presidents and start helping us restore the rule of law and democracy? We’ve got a ten-alarm fire over here and could really use some help.

I have the Real ID & I was doing a work-related road trip (I fix airplanes). Had to get the Delta Red Coats

DHS's statement tonight said it was that he is "aligned" with Hamas. It is clear that he was targeted for deportation because of his exercise of his 1st Amendment rights, to speak out against Israeli genocide & apartheid — not for anything criminal — or the FBI would have arrested & charged him.

But what evidence is there that Khalil "supports Hamas"?

They branded him "Hamas" to dehumanize him enough for the AIPAC paid to wash their hands.

They’re deciding through their actions that the primary federal law enforcement entity of the admin. is ICE. When you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail. When you expand and suspend for the “immigration emergency”, every critic of the state may look like a potential “deportation.”

Definitely. So many Dems signed up for this in advance, with their lies about support for Palestinian lives equalling anti-semitism. Trump knows they're too cowardly to cry foul now.

and they won’t. if you want to know how dems will respond to any given fascist overreach, look at hakeem jeffries and manhattan borough president mark levine. absolutely silence from both. not even a boilerplate scoldy statement.

yes. there are certain populations that people supposedly committed to human rights feel comfortable sacrificing. one would hope the wholesale violation of constitutional protections would be a red line, but then again, genocide wasn’t.

While the State Department CAN revoke *visas* with very little legal process involved, stripping someone of a green card is done by DHS (not the State Department) and requires filing formal charges alleging a violation of immigration law and a removal hearing in front of an immigration judge.

I think it really started once we did nothing about mass-school-shootings. But it solidified when we dismissed Occupy as unimportant to our political sphere. If we can't do anything about dead kids and even highly active organized protest is discredited it doesn't leave citizens with many options.
