World is more lush and grounded. Rise is faster paced and more arcade-y for lack of a better term. Rise gets you in and out of the action faster, and the action itself is more fluid and combo/parry based. World takes its time, and does much more to justify everything as a living breathing world.

Glad to hear it! Keep in mind if you're ever confused you can hold alt and hover any underlined word for the definition. Helps clear up any confusion.

Also, when he mentions Exalted orbs, they have the drop rate of Divine orbs in PoE1, and used to be the de facto expensive currency (with chaos orbs being more common, and acting kind of like Exalts do in PoE2) so keep that in mind.

You should read their development manifesto on it: www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-t.... Now this was 2017 and for PoE1, so it is definitely outdated. But this should give you an idea of where they are coming from. Keep in mind this mindset is why (imo) they've been successful thus far.

I personally disagree, but I don't work for GGG so who knows what will happen before launch.

1. Path of Exile 2
Tied for 2nd. Metaphor and Persona 3 Reload (P3FES is my favorite game of all time, so I am biased)
4. Balatro
5. Astro bot
Honorable mention because it was an expansion, but I played way too much FFXIV Dawntrail on launch, as usual.

If you have any questions as you play feel free to send me a message! I spent way too much of my life on PoE1, so I might as well help some folks with the knowledge I have :)

The final boss of Act 1, you will know when you get there :). All the final Act bosses are great, but the first one is on another level.

The economics have been a core aspect of PoE1 for 12 years. A large part of the community enjoy this aspect, so it is unlikely to fundamentally change. (Better QoL is always welcome, though)

This is primarily a problem because Steam 2FA is not required at all, even with a linked Steam account. You just need the login info for the corresponding PoE account.

There is a lot of speculation around third party tools for this. It doesn't look like there was an actual breach of account security, more like many people got their info stolen from third party tools. At least that's how it looks from the data I've seen. They really need to setup 2FA natively.

Loving it so far with 150 hours in. It has some EA issues, but they really only become apparent deep into the endgame. The campaign alone is easily worth the $30. Already has one of my favorite boss fights in gaming history.

There is an NPC in town that identifies every item in your inventory instantly. You have to unlock him first but it doesn't take long.

You can easily reset the zone to farm it for better loot if you're that far behind.
