If you're gonna block a bunch of people because you're defending the use of antisemitic imagery I'm fine with no longer hearing from you; had actually already muted him before he blocked me :D

Glad to hear, since I was blocked by that guy for making it lol

If for no other reason than that these ghouls are using "antisemitism" as an excuse for violent crackdowns, it's a seriously bad strategic choice to let the use antisemitic tropes by people in our coalition to pass without comment.
There are other reasons, of course. Even unintended bigotry is bad.

(Lilith Spencer would be my influencer of choice, if I were going into this — their aesthetic choices are really clear and there's an overall composition, not just a dense mosaic effect.)
Instagram link, I know, but this is a good example:

Looks like Emily Delaney's influence. I appreciate the effort and aesthetic choices but these creations always seem little hard to actually eat from.

You can see America as a nation built on a monstrous agenda of genocide, enslavement, apartheid. Or you can see America as a nation of people who - massacred, enslaved, disenfranchised - absolutely refused again and again to accept that agenda. I am so proud of that second nation.

“arsebarnacle” was the cherry on top. err, on bottom.

If you’re just preventing keyword searching, would you mind confirming the censored letter? I’m guessing H and want to search for what you’re talking about because I haven’t heard of him.

in my experience typical cats love people they know, whereas typical dogs never met a stranger
people who don’t know how to befriend a cat come at them like they’re a dog and they are very justifiably like WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE GOODBYE

Yeah. It was the threat of cutting off federal funding that I thought might change the game there — what do you *mean* we’ll pay federal taxes and get literally no benefit?
And once you resist paying federal taxes….

OR would be the sticking point on a West Coast secession. I know it’s blue overall but it has a big proportion of chuds
The prospect of the remaining US completely losing access to the Pacific would make the war much more vicious, too.

USDA says 13%, lower than I’d thought but well above self-sufficiency and a big problem if we suddenly had to pay import costs. Plus they’re the sole supplier of a bunch of stuff

Yeah. I should look up exactly how much it is. Like the East Coast and Texas are also big populations/revenue centers but the food part seems key. Also as a Coloradan if CA went I would be looking for a contiguous land path for us to join them.

The actually safe choice is of course “neither, we don’t want a police state or a military dictatorship.”
But I know which group is more likely to freak out and shoot people.

I don’t expect good takes from The Atlantic, but I admit that I actually do (did) expect copy editing.

Not the point but also why is there an apostrophe after the second “and”?
“America Is Suffering an Identity
Crisis
In two years, the U.S. will mark its 250th birthday, and people on the left don't seem to care—giving up on America's symbols and' its very meaning.”

Obsessed with the ICE piñatas, found they were in Chicago and look how they used to be some kind of creature, one of the funnier @greatdismal.bsky.social’s ‘the street finds its own uses for

yup. miller is an absolutely vile human being but i block vampire/lizard memes too. if you’re not an antisemite, you’re a vector. i don’t want that shit to start looking normal to me.
