Didn't walk* I mean. Stupid autocorrect

Its supposed to be cooler than past years and if I could handle full drag then (corset, padding, breastplate and multiple tights and wigs), I should be able to handle poodling now. Granted I did walk the parade in drag

Absolutely will do. Luckily its with Eufuria in Albany so it shouldn't be scorching hot

Its not even something that I always actively and intentionally do. I completely agree with that there are some topics that it is not appropriate

I dont know if I'd be able to participate in anthrocons parade, even without the restrictions, depending on the length of the route and how im feeling the day of. I just may not physically be able to.

My intention was never to disagree with you or to say you were wrong. I tend to be a very literal thinker & sometimes dont take nuances into account.
I can just see both sides of this discussion, & in a situation like this, I sometimes seem to "argue" the counterpoint to get a better understanding

Thank you. I have 2 heads in process right now, I need to finish at least 1 before Sunday for my cities pride. I will be poodling there.

Not just making everyone happy. There are always going to be people who can not do certain things. Myself included.

I dont disagree with you. I do think the rules need to be more clarified and cut and dry.
I just disagree with the outright hate the parade is getting because of the vague policies. We will never be able to make everyone happy.

I agree. The rules do need clarification.

your partial pictured here would be included if you wore tights/thigh highs instead of knee highs.
We also have to take personal accountability. There are activities that my physical limitations do not allow me do, but I can not, in good faith, bash or hate on an event that I can not physically do

It is an adorable head, and I hope mine looks half as good when I finish it this week.

They specifically say partial suits are allowed in the parade. They are not excluding partials.
comment in response to
post
They specifically state they will follow ADA compliance, so they aren't excluding the disabled. Fems can still be feminine and follow the policy. And "lower class" people are not excluded because you can find clothing that work within any budget and body type
comment in response to

The rules specifically say partial suits are allowed, and they will would follow ADA compliance. Meaning, if you have medically necessary concessions, you are still allowed to participate.

So would you have a problem with an event for only poodlers or for only kemonomimi that would exclude full suiters?
comment in response to
post
Removing poodling does inherently does affect the size. People either won't meet the "requirements" or won't sign up.

Depends on the part of texas your in. San Antonio Austin area we would regularly have humidity at 70-80% in 100+ degree weather. Texas has tons of different environments not just deserts

I genuinely do not care one way or another and dont believe poodling negatively affects the fandom in anyway. I poodle. But i will say there are legitimate logical reasons on both sides. I may personally disagree with the ruling but I can also see their side of things

As someone who lived in central Texas for years with 115 temps, wearing a long sleeve lightweight breathable tshirt will typically offer more protection from the heat and sun than a tank top. Which in turn would be more beneficial to people with heat sensitivities than bare skin baking in the sun.
comment in response to
post
I'll admit i can be wrong, but to my understanding, the parade is a fursuit parade, not a general furry parade. And to my understanding, Kemonomimi is different than partial suiting or full suiting. So why is it a big deal to wear a long sleeve tee and lightweight pants?
comment in response to
post
I mean this in good faith, because I genuinely want to understand why people are upset. If there's no significance, why are people mad they are asking for no human skin during the parade. They aren't saying you can't during the rest of con just during a specific event.
comment in response to

Can someone explain the difference between poodling and just wearing a partial, besides one shows human skin? What is the significance of showing human skin with a fursuit partial?

Was able to order today, so excited! Just wondering, for clarification, there are 2 shipping dates listed on the website for pre-orders. It says on the order shipping on the 13th but website says sealed products like precons shipping on the 6th?
