Maybe you’re not ready to fight, but you know it’s time. When the time is right, you’ll hear a crazy voice. That voice will mutter “rock and roll” #katscanx

When we unionized a few years ago, a lot of peanut gallery types on social media wanted to tell me it would be the end of Wired. Hope it’s now clear (thanks mostly to our insanely talented and hardworking politics team) that it does not work that way. Unions are good.

Good to know Brian Renfrow and the NALC have decided to #fightlikehell in these negotiations for the 2023-2026 National Agreement. I will quit wondering what he was fighting like since 2023, and 90% forgive him for the letter carriers suffering if we get a contract that the NALC can accept. Fight!

Letter carriers are standing together and fighting like hell in 2025 for fair contracts, benefits, safety, and the future of USPS! Join us in D.C. on Feb. 13 for the #FightLikeHell kickoff event! ✊📬 Read President Renfroe’s full statement: www.nalc.org/news/nalc-up...

NALC ReJeCtS the 2023-2026 tentative agreement by an almost 3-1 margin! This should signal to the USPS, Renfroe, and any arbitrator just how far off this offer was. For anyone wondering if this TA was insulting to our letter carriers, note the years above.

The active membership of the National Association of Letter Carriers has voted to reject the ratification of the tentative 2023-2026 National Agreement with the United States Postal Service. (1/11 🧵)

Our members are the heart of the Postal Service, delivering to millions daily and serving communities nationwide. Privatization threatens that essential service. Tell your representative to stand with letter carriers and support H.Res. 70! ➡️ nalc.org/action

When the world says “So long dental plan!” We say “Lisa needs braces.”

Hitler was a hateful coward, who died like a coward, in a cowardly way. Also, he seems like a real jerk.

Winter storms and a polar vortex are sweeping the country—even across the Gulf Coast! ❄️ But letter carriers are still out there, delivering through it all. The dedication of our members is unmatched! Stay safe, and thanks for your service. 📬🙌

Just heard that Sona Movsesian lost her home to the wildfires. She doesn’t know me, but I feel like I know her, Matt, and the other guy from the podcast. My heart sank when I heard it. Sorry Sona.

Today, honor a King, not a Felon. #mlkday2025

First, they came for…everybody besides billionaires…and I did…..wait a minute…..nope, they do nothing for anybody. WTF just happened?

This is heartening to see! The resistance is beginning. I know we are tired. I know we are fearful. But we will make ourselves heard and reclaim this country from the grip of MAGA fascism. I’ve seen the inside of barbed wire prison camps in America. We came back from that and shall overcome this.

Apparently NALC president Brian Renfroe misunderstood what letter carriers wanted. We said we wanted $46 top out pay, he negotiated a 46 cent raise. Not quite the same big guy. Hopefully after the TA gets voted down, you can fix this mistake or leave it to arbitration to repair.

“The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it's profitable to continue... [When it] becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, pull back the curtains, move the tables & chairs out of the way & you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater.” --Zappa

Man, the working class has gone soft. I guess back in the day, in France, this lady brought cake to the negotiating table and the people were outraged. I don’t know what we’re asking for nowadays, but cake is delicious. Let us start with cake and eventually get to basic needs.

I’m just saying: if the entire worlds labor force went on strike and demanded a decent life for working it away, we wouldn’t be fighting for all the wealth, just enough for a respectable life with options. It’s not asking much. Think they’d kill us all before they gave up any cookies?

“If you can’t pay your workers, you can’t run a business” is a sentiment that I usually agree with. However, it doesn’t apply to public services, as their purpose isn’t to make money. Letter carriers deserve more than a 1.3% pay raise. Period. They shouldn’t foot the bill for the PO’s mistakes.

Also, I’m trying to figure out blue sky to correct the false narrative of “the post office is losing money”. I don’t know what I’m doing, so, so far a phobe, but I’m hoping to pull a rabbit out of my **** and phile it soon. Any help is appreciated

Despite the minimum wage not going up, the average wage in America went up 6.6% last year. This was a race to make wages increase with inflation. The post office offered letter carriers 1.3%, the NALC president signed off on it, and now they’re acting surprised that the letter carriers are voting no

The post office doesn’t make money. This is partly because upper management at the post office make poor financial decisions. It’s mostly because it’s not designed to make money, it’s designed to provide a service that isn’t profitable.

In weather like this, delivering mail, packages, and medicine is not profitable. Neither is putting out a house fire.
