|| I need to write over here more, Mobius just seems to keep my interest lately 🤣. I've always loved your Bucky too!

|| I got tired of writing Bucky on twitter after the millionth person wanted to sexualize him/ignore his trauma/beg for a ship, some people are great but a lot are way too horny for Bucky

|| Bucky Barnes is such a misunderstood character and I stand by it. I love that man to bits.

He's gentle in taking it, looking it over in the palm of his metal hand. Then, he puts it on, on his non metal wrist.

[He looks touched as he looks them over.] Thank you, Shuri. This means a lot to me.

"And I'm a hell of a lot older than most like to remember," he can't help but laugh, softly. "I tried to send you a gift each year. I dunno if they ever got to you or not. Who knows with bureaucracy and the such nowadays."

"You're alright kid. I'm tougher than I look." Usually, he'd probably flinch away. But he would be alright for now. She needed to rest, and he could tell just from looking at her.

"I kinda figured you did. I'm terrible at grocery shopping," It was hard to shop for one person, honestly. Harder to shop in modern day. But he tried (it was hard, with technology and crowds and such. But he did try). "Thank you, really. I appreciate it."

"You did good, thank you. I needed to eat a real meal this week," eating was something he was working on getting better at. Food was....hard for him to get used to, especially now that he was on his own trying to feed himself.

"I understand," his tone is careful "I won't. Promise." For now. But he didn't want to upset her any further than she already seemed to be. For now, he'd just keep his eye out.

throwing herself around him crying. Oh yeah. He was a life that impacted other lives. Huh. "Okay, okay. I won't go kill this guy, though I really, really want to. But I won't do anything you don't want me to." Fair enough. He'd probably act the same way if she tried to go after HYDRA cells.

Oh. He...yeah. He was still getting used to the whole "people care about your wellbeing" thing that so many had tried to get him to understand, still accepting that he mattered at all in the grand scheme of things. It was hard to remember, which was why he seemed so shocked at Shuri suddenly-

"He doesn't need to know Wakanda has any involvement. People know of the Winter Soldier, not much of me." He's a stubborn old soul, really. "People assume me to be a killer for no good reason. They don't need to know why I do what I do."

That...yeah. that unsettled Bucky just a bit. He didn't talk about the things he had been through much, but a part of his brain just...clicked the pieces together, and he knew what he needed to do. Shuri would be safe, that he would make sure of. "Note taken: kill water god. Easy enough."

The look on his face says it all, a disgusted look as he finishes swallowing the bite of food he had put in his mouth almost moments before. "Worse than I thought, huh. Gross. I've killed men like that for less." Not even gonna think about the wings or whatever, that wasn't important.

"How old is this guy exactly?" Yeah, he could already tell he wouldn't like the answer to that question. Unsurprising, though, to hear about some leader being a creep. Coming from the man who used to be hired to kill those types of men, he knew how common it was.

"Never good to get yourself so worked up, really." He could hear Sam in his mind now, going on about meditation or what not. Maybe Sam had a good point. Bucky just...well, used his words to help someone else.

|| absolutely. I've always been big on safety, especially in the internet, and its just time to find a new website to write on. Bluesky is nice so far, maybe ill delve back into tumblr. I used to do pretty alright for myself over there.

|| I am genuinely working my way up to deleting any Twitter accounts I have over there, im just using them to promote my bluesky accounts rn. After Elon got a government position and the Truth Social merger he started talking about, its genuinely not safe anymore to be over there, for anyone.

"That- wow, okay. Form changing." He... yeah. He's never heard of that one before. But he's heard of weirder, honestly, so he doesn't seem as disturbed by it as he probably should.
comment in response to post
|| yeah, its getting really bad over there. People are leaving in droves/the influx of right wingers (the merger with Truth social Elon wants to do with Twitter is gonna make it worse), to the point that tumblr might even be the place to go back to at this point.

"You've got powers and stuff now?" He is curious, honestly. He didn't understand much about the herb besides bits and pieces from listening to T'challa talk, but he had pieces of information to help him understand what exactly it was that the herb did.

|| everytime I've gone on twitter recently its either been a notification for a right wing political tweet or someone calling out someone else for some stupid shit. I'm over it honestly.

A part of him wants to fight back, not used to this, not really like he probably should be. Even general kindness shown towards him often confused and bewildered him. But, he just nods, before taking a bite of his own food. "Okay." He could learn to accept it, for now.
comment in response to post
He seems...almost confused, taking the food with grace as he looks it over. He...didn't even think he had this stuff in his fridge. Huh. "Thank you, really. You didn't have to do this."
comment in response to post
He's on the couch as usual, seemingly just now stirring from a restless sleep. He can smell food, and he's almost confused by it at first. "Shuri?" Did she stay? Poor kid. He didn't have much to offer her, but still. He should probably be looking after her, not the other way around.
comment in response to post
Some things are best left undiscussed, honestly. But he does appreciate her kindness.

earn food, anything he needed to survive. A part of him ignoring the voices left behind by an organization hell bent on destroying him in any way possible. It was hard, but he was trying.]

"I....I could eat," he hadn't eaten in awhile, he was fairly certain, too busy with whatever lead he had next on the Society forming within the government to focus on food. He got bits and pieces here and there, tried to keep up. [There was a part of him still unlearning the idea that he had to-

"Hey. You know where I live now, doors always open to you. Queen or not, you need a place to escape to sometimes." It wasn't much, but he had a roof over his head now. He tried to keep it cozy enough, even if he didn't own much in the way of physical items.

"You don't have to remind me twice," god, he knew how behind he was with...well, everything. He had so much he needed to catch up on, in almost every aspect of his life.

He hugs her back, still careful, even if he could feel the strength behind her embrace. He didn't think he would ever be able to not he careful with her, not try to make sure he didn't hurt someone he cared about. "I had an inkling, though they all seemed to use it after awhile."
