And how in the hell is this poorly written argument possibly an argument against promoting equal opportunity and diversity of workforce across our nation? Specifically, our nation with its history of legal separation of the races as recently as 1972.

If you already own a Kindle (I do), it doesn't make much sense to me to get rid of a perfectly functioning device. There's a piece of open source software called Calibre that makes it really easy to put ebooks from anywhere onto a Kindle, if you want to avoid the Kindle store.
