Not awful! I got a game of Baldur's Gate 3 planned with my console friends, but one might ditch me for a hookup and I'm not mad about it.

Me and the husband are joining a protest on Saturday. It was hard to do the first time, I had no idea what was expected, and I forgot my sunblock. Much easier after the first time.

Then realizing I just presumed I would be your guest which, no, I do not actually know you. This was the opposite of the "royal we", referring to all impulsive snackers.

The soaps that look like food? Please don't, I've already been fooled twice, I don't know how I would handle a third time.

I once read a story that described the most terrifying torture imaginable, and it was just "no matter what you do, you get punished severely". It was shown as the best way to break someone's mind. I don't know how to stop that, and I wish I did, because it seems like what's going on with you.

Don't lose hope. It's not over until my heart stops beating, and I will fight that end every moment of every day.

So I'd say this is an interesting piece of the puzzle, but is not the whole story. Burnout is the feeling, first of all, and this describes a cause. Also this may be a contitributing factor, but it hasn't been present every time I've felt burnout.

On the winter solstice, your current gender is cancelled, and you give presents! You then choose your gender for the coming year. It is perfectly allowable to be the same as the one last year.

Definitely! They didn't even ask for my last name, and the only problem was they were TOO nice, and I was not prepared for that.

I remember reading in Harold McGee's "On Food and Cooking" that avocado was derived from the Nahuatl word for "testicle"? Do you know where that idea came from?

Practice making fart noises by making raspberries on your hand. Must be earnest, with the intent of making progress. ("Progress" is up to the performer's interpretation. Realistic? Funny? Loud? Dealer's choice.)

I highly recommend "No Thank You, The Ocean" as performed by Zach Reino on Dropout. It even made it past the paywall to Youtube!
