Disgusting in every way

Strong words from Bret Stephens: “Roosevelt and Reagan must be spinning in their graves, as are Churchill and Thatcher. It’s up to the rest of us to reclaim America’s honor from the gangsters who besmirched it in the White House.” www.nytimes.com/2025/02/28/o...

So, actually, it always was Russia.

The defining question in federal criminal cases right now isn’t whether a defendant is guilty or not guilty. It’s not even whether they’re poor or rich. It’s whether you are friends with President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement.

NEW: A searing editorial in the The Kyiv Independent. “It’s time to say it plainly. America’s leadership has switched sides in the war. The American people have not, and they should speak up. “A president just disrespected America in the Oval Office. It wasn’t Zelensky.” @kyivindependent.com

Leader of the free world: Volodymyr Zelensky

Repost & like, if you stand with President Zelensky!

Agree. He has an audience as well. His countrymen don’t want to see their President groveling before a Putin lackey. Their determination is grounded in their national pride. Zelensky powerfully vindicated that today. To see your President stand up to the two greatest powers in the world? Priceless.

There are 3 people in this photo. One is a true President and currently the leader of the free world. One is drooping and looks like he’s about to take a nap. And one looks a little too excited to be sitting on a couch.

I’m confused by all the headline references to a “shouting match.” I saw one side shouting and the other side getting shouted over when he tried to talk.

I say again: any Republican in congress with an ounce of integrity would switch parties immediately. They are complicit, sadistic cowards. Every single one.

We just watched Trump & Vance do Putin’s bidding in the Oval Office & it was horrific. Not even two months into this administration & it’s a disaster for the free world.

Trump’s disgusting behavior in our Oval Office in the company of a genuine hero and defender of democracy like Volodymyr Zelensky may be the most disgraceful public behavior by any president in our history.

Today's beatdown in the Oval Office was a turning point. Every story has an arch. It's the path the narrative takes, and a turning point that critical moment where the plot takes a major shift that alters the course of the story. Or, in this case, the course of history.

Never forget this day, February 28, 2025, when an American president abused and betrayed a democratic ally in the midst of a barbaric war with Russia. This grotesque stain will never wash away.

Pass it on. #StandWithUkraine

Another Friday night massacre: U.S. Army Lieutenant General Telita Crosland, the head of the military's health agency and one of the most senior Black female officers in the Army, was forced to retire tonight, per Reuters.

So we can add humiliation to extortion in Trump’s toolkit to bully Zelensky in favour of Russia. Zelensky has thanked the west often btw. How about Trump thank Zelensky and the Ukrainian people for their sacrifice - the only people dying to protect us all from Russian aggression and expansion.

NEW: “Kennedy paused a multimillion dollar project to create a new Covid-19 vaccine in pill form on Tuesday, and the Food and Drug Administration canceled an advisory committee meeting on updating next season’s flu vaccine.” newrepublic.com/post/192059/...

Per Dr Atul Gawande, ex USAID: “All malaria supplies protecting 53 million people, mostly children, including bed nets, diagnostics, preventive drugs, and treatments – terminated.” There are no words that sufficiently describe this level of cruelty and sadism.

None of us can be sure what will “work.” You try multiple things and find your way in. Read some histories of the Civil Rights Movement by those who participated. They were never “sure” of what would work. Some campaigns fizzled out. But persistence, creativity, determination, and focus were key.

Is the legacy media going to do anything? Or is this it?

No words.

God, this makes me sick.

I want to know who chose Gretzky to be Team Canada’s “honorary captain”: 1. We already had a Captain - the talented Sidney Crosby; and, 2. Did the genius(es) who made this selection know Gretzky is a Trump supporter? Wearing that vile hat and celebrating at Mar-a-Lago on election night? Disgusting.

Hegseth fired Admiral Lisa Franchetti, the first female officer to rise to the Navy’s top job of Chief of Naval Operations. Trump fired Gen. Charles Brown Jr., a four-star fighter who became only the second African American to hold the job of Joint Chiefs Chairman. A Black man and a woman.
