Thatā€™s cats for you šŸ˜‚ with mine Iā€™m like ā€œbro you got a lot of audacity for a little guy who used to sleep on my porch in the coldā€

I started at 34 and am now 37. The last 2.5 years gave me so much happiness and hope and now I feel like all that has just been cut short. Itā€™s so not fair. But itā€™s not our fault. Just think if youā€™d waited longer, or never did it at all.

Thankful I work at a small nonprofit that would never for a moment entertain this nonsense

Metal is like the perfect coping mechanism for this actually lol. When I donā€™t have the energy to be angry it puts that fight right back in me

A lot of us older trans folks have been struggling too and honestly part of the reason I hang on some days is because I want to show trans youth that they can have a future. Obviously that future is less certain now but Iā€™d like to think my perseverance can help them anyway.

And Musk calls trans people ā€œgroomersā€. Wtf are these barely out of puberty boys doing being employed by a creepy 50 something billionaire?

Like clearly a lot of people read The Handmaidā€™s Tale and 1984 and thought ā€œoh wow, this sounds rad, actually.ā€

Bro really needs to go to therapy and learn to accept his trans daughter instead of taking it out on every trans person in the country.

All things that a lot of Americans couldnā€™t afford in the first place

I have written entire scenes of my book in my phone notes app on the train because the music I was listening to and the scenery around me triggered a solution to my writerā€™s block lol.

Whatever we can. Which may be a lot or may not be much. Those of us in minority groups will honestly be more focused on trying to survive and stay out of concentration camps.

Real Americans love our Canadian & Mexican neighbors and value peace & diplomacy. Unfortunately half our country confuses toxic masculinity with patriotism, and our President has the social skills of a schoolyard bully.

People who brag about child abuse - whether as perpetrators to their children or as childhood victims themselves - are so effed up.

I only have male privilege because 99% of people are unable to clock me as trans. That does not erase the fact that I am and always will be trans. I am just as vulnerable to anti trans legislation as trans women. My malehood is fragile and hinges entirely on my ability to hide my transness.

And itā€™s reductive as heck to say that trans men automatically are granted male privilege. In some ways, absolutely. But that privilege is conditional on a bottle that sits on my bathroom counter that I may lose access to.

The ā€œtrans men have it easierā€ thing just because we generally pass easier if long enough on Tā€¦ while not false has still always bothered me. Like, what are you expecting me to do or say?
comment in response to post
Absolutely, but for safety reasons it would have to be done in organized groups.

Damn, Iā€™m sorry. I found my doctor through the childfree subreddit. They have a wiki of doctors in all 50 states who are on record as being willing to do no questions asked sterilizations for just about anyone over 18. My doc is a straight up progressive feminist lol.

Thank you for being a loving and accepting parent. It will make all the difference for her. šŸ©·

You will get the chance. I was twice your age when I came out (though I didnā€™t need to wait that long). You have the gift of knowing who you are so young. I didnā€™t get that. Stay strong dear šŸ©·

I do think it can be challenged. 18 year olds in a federal context can legally seek and consent to their own medical care. I canā€™t think of any exceptions to that where you have to be older. (Sterilization maybe but thatā€™s just doctors being bigots; it is *legal* to get a vasectomy/tubal at 18)

Absolutely they did.
comment in response to post
I noticed that too. Any surgery attempting to alter a personā€™s genitals that would destroy their natural biological function. So, say, getting tubes tied even.

Yes, because making trans men with beards use womenā€™s restrooms is *checks notes* ā€œdefending womenā€

Been transitioning for 2.5 years and never once been clocked in a menā€™s restroom, not even in a busy truck stop in rural Trump country Arizona. I certainly donā€™t expect it to start.

The vast majority of people I know with pronouns in their email signature are cis lol
