God no!!!!!

Good.

the tesla protest might objectively be among the most successful in history already just in terms of immediate response, if you consider they forced the world’s most powerful person & its most wealthy to fully degrade themselves like used car salesmen on live TV while the whole world watched agog.

Six weeks…

Fascinating to see Trump supporters—like this IRS accountant who was fired amidst the DOGE gutting—direct all their hatred at Musk rather than blaming Trump. Bringing in Musk as a feral scapegoat for all the public's hatred was the best thing Trump has done for his own public perception.

Also no funding for Musk-related businesses.

That press conference was the most disgraceful act of betrayal I’ve ever seen.

I'm struggling to get over what we saw today. The amount of gaslighting, cruelty, ignorance, abject cowardice, arrogance, indifference to human life, and deceit we saw from Trump and Vance...we saw behavior we associate with enemies of the United States inside the Oval Office. That's traumatizing.

And to think we could have had a sane, serious government run by an intelligent person who would have acted in the best interests of Americans, and not Vladimir Putin.

ICYMI: DOGE’s *own data* show that approx 40% of its cuts are saving the government a grand total of… 🥁 $0 👀😬⤵️

As the GOP eyes Social Security cuts, people should realize that our government spends nearly 4X as much on tax breaks for private retirement savings that disproportionately benefit the rich. Latest cost estimate: $2.5 TRILLION over 5 years. (2023-27). Both parties are responsible for this.

Elon Musk said DOGE made a mistake by cutting USAID’s Ebola prevention but it had been “restored.” That’s not true, current and former officials told me and @johnphudson.bsky.social. “There have been no efforts to ‘turn on’” Ebola prevention, said Nidhi Bouri, who oversaw team until January.

House GOP proposed cuts: Agriculture: $230B Education & Workforce: $330B Energy & Commerce: $880B (Medicaid etc) Oversight & Government Reform: $50B Transportation & Infrastructure: $10B Increases: Armed Services: $100B Homeland Security: $90B Judiciary: $110B Ways & Means: $4.5 TRILLION (tax cuts)

At what point do leaders in the GOP band together (since they seem to lack courage individually) & say enough is enough? The party of Reagan becomes the tool of Putin if they don’t, especially after last night.

It feels like people are waking up

I literally reported this Wednesday.

Donald Trump and Elon Musk are on a rampage with a very specific purpose: To weaken our government's ability to fight oligarchy and autocracy. WATCH:

On the one side, I do not love being a Jew in a country now ruled by explicit Nazis. On the other hand, this is all amazing ad footage for the Dems in 2026.

Outbreaks of measles in parts of Texas and New Mexico have sickened nearly 100 people, according to state health officials who warned that the number of cases was expected to rise.

DOGE’s expenses have risen above 40 million, with weekly costs now exceeding 10 million. We will release an updated DOGE staff list soon.

Carville: USAID spent $41 billion the federal budget is 6 trillion. Actually comes to something like .014%. So take that and put it against the 6 trillion and see what you have done when your president is responsible for more federal debt than any president in the history of the United States.

Pam Bondi: “On day one, I issued 14 executive orders...” (The Attorney General does not have the authority to issue executive orders)

How do we start a citizen RECALL, NATIONWIDE, of TRAITOR TRUMP/Vance!? They did this to Governor Newsome in California a few years back. He prevailed, but it was a grassroots attempt. This chaos is out of control! And now the orange Anti-Christ blames Ukraine for starting the war?! WTF!

it’s so cool that we are at the whims of this reactionary force of groypers that don’t understand anything, lead by the dumbest guy ever seen in history

"You should have never started it" -- Trump to Ukraine, which very much did not start the war

⚡️🇫🇷 France convenes second urgent meeting of EU leaders in three days to discuss Ukraine and security in Europe, — Reuters The summit is expected on February 19. Among the invited countries: Norway, Canada, the Baltic states, the Czech Republic, Greece, Finland, Romania, Sweden and Belgium.

We need MSM and Cable to televise Monday's protests around the country!!!!!!

I've seen a few lists to boycott companies/brands that contribute to this Fascist regime. Is there a list of companies/brands to support/buy? Also, I'm sure we have our own billionaires/ companies that can "buy" our own seats in Congress. It would be a good time to jump in!

It is a better use of our energy to show up to these events, when possible, instead of complaining about Musk online. We are not powerless!

A reminder: Vladimir Putin could end the war in Ukraine right now, just by ordering his soldiers to go home. No need for treaties or negotiations.

ABC: “.. Multiple current and former employees described the situation as ‘a national security crisis.’” @abcnewsgo.bsky.social abcnews.go.com/Politics/liv...

@arimelber.bsky.social The Democrats need a PROJECT 2027 to replace Project 2025!

@joyannreid.bsky.social The Democrats need to write a "PROJECT 2026" to combat Project 2025. Also, please cover protests on President's Day. 02/17

Our media, once free, now a puppet show, Where oligarchs pull strings, make the truth not grow. You've bought the Washington Post, the LA Times too, All to curry favor with Trump, in this media coup. suno.com/song/5efc425...

Lead story in @nytimes.com tonight speaks to one small way protests help shape national discussion: photos. Without protest, how would a news org visualize this debate? Treasury, computers, DOGE? Many feature Musk smiling. Here we see the drama of public opposition, which also helps justify story.

For what it’s worth, when I spent years in Afghanistan and Iraq, the most powerful thing I ever saw was USAID digging wells & repairing schools. The most effective power we will ever have.

The rush to destroy things like USAID and other agencies before lawsuits can stop them is to make it moot. When our stupidly slow judicial system finally moves to stop them it will be far too late. If all 10,000 USAID employees are home and projects abandoned it’s done. It’s evil.
