With V100 it takes >500 GPU hours. But I think it should be faster with A100. So I would guess 2-3 days?

4/ The authors emphasize focusing ONT sequencing efforts on abundant modifications for biomedical applications.

3/ They suggest a framework to calculate FDR per modification and context using the negative control. This helps adjust thresholds, like modification probability (pmod in Dorado), for more reliable detection.

2/ Using a negative control (whole-genome amplification), they estimate false positive rates and show that false discovery rates (FDR) are high for rare modifications. These rates also vary by context, such as CpG vs. CpH methylation.
