tbh (and this is a flaw) i enjoy pedantry & discussion about language and how its used.
tl;dr — i disagree with the sentiment that listening to a book is somehow inferior to reading it, but i also definitely differentiate between the specific actions of reading and listening.

imo it's not about establishing any strong argument, it's just about the definitions of words.
like if I was listening to a song, I think people might raise an eyebrow if I told them, "hold on, I'm reading this song"
