If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general. If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.

One of our supporters shared this with us—people are getting creative tonight!

BREAKING: Ranking Member Raskin demands Attorney General Bondi halt illegal intimidation campaign targeting the DOJ’s Public Integrity Office.

This is so smart. @petebuttigieg.bsky.social , thoughts ? And if you see this. A reminder. This is not Twitter. You can engage here and have thoughtful discussions ! We all look forward to reading your thoughts

Imagine if @aoc @sanders.senate.gov , every dem, SIMULTANEOUSLY held Town Halls where they allowed grant and contract recipients to explain to the country what it is they do and why it's important Invite all media. Including RW podcasters. @spaces Flood the zone Call it a Day Of Transparency

Listen up, folks. Trump’s takin’ a hatchet to Biden’s executive orders—climate deals, voting rights, regulations—poof, gone. Like they never existed. Buckle up, ‘cause things are about to get real messy.

With news breaking that DOJ is moving to dismiss the criminal case against Eric Adams, go back and read this from @adriancarrasquillo.bsky.social: www.thebulwark.com/p/hes-compro...

Wow. Jamie Raskin discusses a possible impeachment of Donald Trump for illegal executive overreach. “Find me two Republicans and I’ll go to work tomorrow.” Would you support impeachment against Donald Trump?

I voted to reject RFK Jr.'s nomination to HHS. I cannot in good conscience support someone who denies and will dilute our public health protections, sow distrust in science, and oversee massive cuts to health care programs for vulnerable Americans.

You should print out your Social Security Statement. Elon and who knows how many countless others now have access to your private information, so it'd be wise to have a record of it.

This is a great idea. Do you know anyone in Congress you can talk to?

Once the cyberbarons fully occupy and effectively seize control of the Treasury and other key government agencies, it won’t be long before they relegate Trump to a rubber-walled romper room, wheeling him out for occasional bursts of what passes for charisma to humor him with the illusion of power.

Outside of USAID headquarters, Senator Brian Schatz: "If you want to change an agency, introduce a bill and pass a law. You cannot wave away an agency that you don't like or that you disagree with by executive order, or by literally storming into the building and taking over the servers." BOOM!

Imagine saying this about an agency that has helped millions of people around the world avoid malaria, obtain clean water, and gain access to food & health care. Especially when you’re the world’s richest man & your net worth is something like 20 times this agency’s annual budget. What a foul soul.

This language describes a coup. You have to be a government employee, subject to the rules & procedures that bind gov employees, to do this kind of work. This is a blatant abuse of the public trust by the Trump administration, a true 5-alarm fire. www.wired.com/story/elon-m...

REAGAN: “Our peaceful trading partners are not our enemies; they are our allies… beware of demagogues ready to declare a trade war against our friends—weakening our economy, national security, and the entire free world—while cynically waving the 🇺🇸 flag.” Trump’s bad ideas are not new.

Required reading. Youre welcome.

A reminder of the kindness Canada gave to the re-routed USA-bound flights during 9/11. With no notice, the communities of Halifax & Gander went beyond to feed, house, & assist thousands that were stranded for days. So this is how Trump treats our good neighbors? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operati...

I’m going to put my rich guy hat on and say I hope that Mexico and Canada issue equal, retaliatory tariffs and stick to them for an extended period. I apologize to all the people it will cost money and the businesses it will hurt. But it’s the only way for tariffs to be seen for what they are

Just saying.

House Republicans are celebrating pardons issued to a bloodthirsty mob that violently assaulted police officers on January 6, 2021. What happened to backing the Blue? Far right extremists have become the party of lawlessness and disorder. Don’t ever lecture America again. About anything.

15 years ago, a 5-4 majority on the Supreme Court handed down the grotesque Citizens United decision, opening the spigot of unlimited dark money and outside spending in elections. And each year since that decision, elections have become increasingly expensive and less transparent.

Jefferson Griffin can’t take a hint. He & the GOP still believe 60k voices should be silenced! Check if your vote is being challenged at ncdp.org/challenged If you're on the list, don't worry. We are working to ensure your vote is counted. Pitch in at ncdp.org/protect

Um. What the fuck? “Elon was very effective. He knows those computers better than anybody. Those vote counting computers. And we ended up winning Pennsylvania like in a landslide. It was pretty good. Thank you to Elon.” Did Donald Trump just admit he cheated in Pennsylvania?

Jefferson Griffin is trying to throw out the votes of thousands of military members and their families serving abroad and the votes of tens of thousands of registered NC voters who showed their photo ID. [1/2]

to recap: — Trump was *for* the TikTok ban — which the GOP Congress passed — and the GOP Supreme Court upheld — and even though Biden said he wouldn't enforce the ban, TikTok shut down anyway — so that Trump could "save" it — and the media fell for it we really do live in the dumbest fucking country

Nobody dares to criticize the crazy paulkrugman.substack.com/p/trumps-tea...

"Narrow statewide elections are hardly a new phenomenon in the history of American politics. ... In North Carolina, however, the state's latest elections have entered uncharted — and for many law scholars, uncomfortable — territory." #NCPOL #NCCourts #NC

"This is really scary." Today in Greensboro, we spoke with a voter who just learned she's among the 60,000 North Carolinians that losing candidate Jefferson Griffin is trying to disenfranchise as part of his outrageous scheme to overturn the election. WATCH: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6oJ...

There is no more important story that needs your attention than the fact that the GOP is trying to steal a North Carolina Supreme Court seat. Please watch, share, and take action. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xzh1...

What republicans want to do here is really really bad and undemocratic www.reuters.com/legal/govern...

$1,131,794,901 That's how much Big Oil has spent over the last 30 years paying off Congress to look the other way on climate action while the planet burns. Well, the planet is burning. Don't let them look away.
