Every team should do what Washington just did. Maybe they get lucky and time it right. Who cares if the refs gift Philly a TD? They're gonna score anyway.
What if they only mentioned this rule in the eagles commanders game so that when the refs invoke it to ensure a chiefs victory, they can’t say they just made the rule up
I mean I understand if Luvu kept jumping over the line, but Hurts is doing a hard count to purposely try and draw them offside. I think to an extent a warning needs to be given to the offense as well.
Hard count to draw opposing team offside is absolutely not illegal. We see it most games. It's just that it worked over and over and over again this time.
I understand it’s not illegal, but besides Luvu I don’t think the other Commander players were intentionally trying to go offside. I think if you are serious about awarding points you have to give a fair shake to the defense as well.
I think every team should do this when the Eagles line up for the Tush Push. Maybe eventually the league make the play illegal. Make it so annoying that they have to do something about it.
Other teams are doing it (the bills do it) if only one team was doing it like last year I wouldn’t say ban it. Now other teams are and that goal line was ridiculous enough it can change.
I feel really bad for the defense here. They're just trying to stop a near unstoppable play on the .5 yard line. Short of subbing in a bulldozer with saw blades at nose tackle, I don't see what the defense could've done different here.
The last one was a legit false start off Hurts hard count. If he start doing that a lot it is going to be a problem. The whole play is about reaction time. If you can’t false start against it, things will get ugly.
Genuine question: how is the eagles continually calling hard counts not equally “unsportsmanlike” in this situation? They’re inciting the encroachments!
The 3rd call is BS imo. Different player, position. Fucking Different level. It's nothing for linemen to move and not get back vs time flying over the top. Although the refs reminder is probably in order
You can push a guy into the endzone but can’t pull a guy into it? I think both are unfair personally and I do t lame Washington hike the f’ing ball and pinch it in or stop playing games personally!
What the Bills ran was an actual Qb sneak where they don’t lush and go forward. The eagles version basically is just someone putting 300 lbs behind hurts and driving a blocking sled forward. Only way to stop it is to jump the snap, which was not allowed today. So they are not the same.

But hard to blame the Eagles for running a nearly unstoppable play.
But seriously can we just ban that play already
Homer: But, Marge, I want to see my brother.
Marge: Oh, for God's sakes, Homer, it's an empty threat.
