Watched The Holdovers with the kids last night. A perfect movie. Alexander Payne truly did achieve his goal of making a movie that seemed to be OF the era rather than merely about the era. It’s a real movie. It takes its time. It lets you marinate in the moments. Great close-ups throughout.
