Just had a frowny email from Experian telling me my credit score has gone down, and the ridiculous thing about the whole credit score thing is that mine is low because I am the happy and lucky position of having no debt. Mad that that's presented as something to be concerned about.

Apparently we're called "deadbeats" by the industry, because we cost them money!
*I use a credit card once a quarter to 'maintain' it for emergencies.
Mine had gone 'down' because I'd closed a credit card I didn't use 🤷♂️
Yes.
I’m in the same position, I’ve got one credit card but don’t really use it, so have a middling score.
When I had cards and loans out of my ears, I had an ‘excellent’ score.
Now they actively *encourage* you to game the system!
🙄
My credit limit stayed the same for ages.
When I once missed a payment, they put my credit limit up!
"84 of these cards and loans are appropriate for people like you!"
Also moving broadband plus phone to cheaper providers counts as two of your three new financial arrangements in a 6 month period (folks with > 3 are "higher" risk)
Therefore, I overpay on old eg phone contracts to keep my "risk" down, if planning something important like mortgage or car loan.
