What’s everyone having for dinner. Assuming my minced beef is still good to eat, something with that. Maybe keema? If not, cannellini beans, tomatoes, peppers, thyme, garlic & marscapone with a ciabatta roll. G&T beforehand.

I've got a couple of pieces of haddock; going to egg and breadcrumb them, home made oven chips (Maris Pipers in duck fat/olive oil mix), tinned mushy peas, homemade tartare sauce, Soave.
Yes, I’ve had Iceland’s own in the past, this time they had McCain - only ingredients spud, milk, butter & salt and that’s what it tastes like. Frozen in little sticks so you can use as much as you want.
Left over roast pork is going into a fragrant pilaf. It works wonderfully with leftover lamb, this is an experiment to see if it works with pork. Cavolo Nero on the side.
Leek, potato and red cabbage soup with pearl barley and tiny little fresh pasta pieces, seasoned with salt, pepper, tarragon, coriander seed and cumin, a couple of thickly buttered crusty slices from the end of a just baked sourdough loaf, the last glass of the Nero D'Avola.
Grilled chicken thighs in an entirely pseudo-Korean marinade, roasted baby potatoes, red cabbage slaw with chilli, pomegranate seeds and juice from the fading clementines.
black bean chilli with roasted squash, brown basmati seed pilaf and a chopped salad. it was lush and loads of leftovers. shall revisit with avocado tomorrow.
