It was really interesting to watch the SolarLight video on motion controls being comparable to m+kb in TF2 (at least for casual play)--motion as a concept is really foreign to non-splatoon players it seems like

Which I think super tangents off and I'm hitting bsky character limits haha but I like vgc and think it would be cool to have open conversations about the concept of content overall
(But back on the original topic, at least archiving everything in one place on youtube would be cool and help a lot)

In general I suppose there's a few questions to ask the overall community (casual and comp), like what kind of content they would watch/want
And the more complicated question of what qualifies a person to make content--a lot of the vgc youtubers have *extremely* strong resumes (3/4)

And youtubers like Cybertron (Aaron Zheng), James Baek, MichaelDerBeste, etc (I will be here all day listing vgc yts, and that's not even going into more singles focused content like Freezai) who focus more on featuring a team, explaining their decisions, and showing a few battles with it (2/4)

I think wolfey's videos have the best entertainment and reach to more casual audiences (while he's still the goat player wise, massive list of accomplishments sheesh)
On the less edited but still good content side there's ck49 doing interviews where players will talk about their teams (1/4)

This isn't to detract from your point or anything, but "fitting into schedules" is rather shoe-in for highest #, because you can't really benefit from any of the other options in a tournament that you can't play in 😅

Someone's probably mentioned it, but there's not much intrinsic reward(ego-feed if I want to be rude) to helping with a tourney as opposed to creating one-helpdesk or technical support isn't really a glamorous or thanked job even though it's hugely important to having a professionally run tourney

The problem I have with sendou rating on anything is the way decay/rating works rn--it's a system that in theory should work but there's several ways to game it if there's more reward to it (people already do this near the end of the season approaching + thresholds lol)

It does me and everyone else no good for me to complain though, it won't change unless some massive community shift happens and there's no reason to think that it will

Ye, that's pretty low relatively speaking
If you compare to how many sets Brave has played, which is >100

I can't check your set count rn, but the fewer sets you've played the higher your point gain/losses are ("volatility")

You have to be specific with "could it work"--at what level? What degree of results would constitute "working"? At what time period/meta?
That being said I'm sure you could fish up an area cup top 16 at some point in time for nearly any double-up

tell me about it it's been more impossible to find scrims lately than anything else :x
I understand their intent but sometimes I kinda wish people would form groups of 4 and scrim more often
