hm anti bias i’m not so sure but it’s definitely not very valuable on its own and you need to have made stuff to prove yourself

even if the nvme ssd is say, 16tb (how big even is it nowadays?), idk the pi just running the db to index everything feels like it’ll be pretty cpu intensive

no one was expecting them to win on their own. german governments have always been coalitions. the cdu has previously worked with them despite claiming they wouldn’t. i am scared as fuck

how can you announce the nazi party getting 150 seats on the bundestag as “GOOD NEWS.” like some people actually live here and are affected by this come on

(ofc windows gets support and linux not, not even mad tbh)
comment in response to

oh lol you were wrong actually it seems github.com/signalapp/Si...
comment in response to
post
yeah i should not have to emulate a web browser in x86 to send messages with e2ee
comment in response to
post
signalflatpak.github.io/signal/ i had assumed it was this one, also unofficial and i would recommend against it, but at least solves the problem i was talking about
comment in response to
post
also wait lol is this even the arm one
comment in response to
post
privacy software, not happening
comment in response to
post
oh for sure somewhat unfortunately they are THE only recommendation,, but especially the qcomm windows situation is very sad, as those machines don’t seem to be able to emulate an entire web browser (signal) and not have everything slow to a halt
comment in response to
post
i mean luckily i main a mac, but signal not existing on asahi OR those qcomm windows machines is like really uncool because like cmon x86 in 2025?? i’m sure a four hour battery life is fun and nostalgic
comment in response to
post
lol so the only portable non phone platform they support is mac
comment in response to
post
ah! do they ship for arm on linux OR windows yet
comment in response to
post
that’s mostly what i meant, i could’ve waited another year to upgrade if i knew the modem would cease to be qcomm
