They learned from the best (The BBC burning old Dr Who Episodes).

I'm still annoyed that you NEVER get to fight humans in the games. Like you have Halo 2, a game with a Covenant Protagonist and he spends his time fighting...other Covenant Exclusively.

I want 'Angry Jedi (Spanish Anarchist Edition)' in my Anti-Fascist stuff.

Hell, it doesn't even need to be an actual Jedi Jedi. Imagine being one of the people who worked in those temples and who wasn't force sensitive. You're, religiously, a Jedi but now people are coming after you and you don't exactly have a lightsaber.

They're Colonial Invaders. A British Soldier isn't an Invincible Monster, he's entirely vincible.
The entire story is 'HEY, WOULDN'T IT BE SCARY IF THE JACKBOOT WAS ON THE OTHER FOOT?'

To be fair, your government is doing a great job of making people all over the world not like America.

War is when you show how much you can benchpress, iirc? Not that thing with the bullets, right?

Hell, say that the old names where what humans had called them because humans ARE the sort to give weird racist nicknames.

Hell, they get you SAFE magic. Asking your god to do something to help can at worst get you 'Hey, stop that!' and some light smiting.
Trying to get Magic Stuff to happen can get you eaten by an angry portal.

The particularly silly thing about this is: I don't recall basicly anyone saying 'they're the same'. Even some of the most vitriolic treatment of the Democrats was like 'The lesser evil is still evil, which fucking sucks', not 'I can't tell these apart'.

I read this as Peter Davidson and got really worried that one of the Doctors was going to turn out to be a giant asshole for a moment.

Most of them are also pro trans wrongs.

It's got a great texture. You can tell they cared a lot about making characters Feel Right. I love every time I get to go 'Hahahah, I have a Doomsday Weapon to upturn the table!' as Luminary.

I like traps as Environmental Threats in battles. Especially if the game has Forced Movement as a factor.
I have fond memories of teleporting many people into Deathfog in Divinity 2.

Amoral, Selfish and Self-Obsessed? Sounds like they are already set up for player characters.

I mean to be less fair to the NCR that's actively breaking treaties, not just attacking people. I'm also not sure I'd call Genocide a mercy.

Hey, that's not fair. Catholicism rejects predetermination and dear god do a lot of dems love going 'Yep, nothing we can do. It's all up to The Voters. We can't possibly actually improve our turnout by our actions'.
They have Sola Fide Electoralism.

It would really help Lowtax become a proper verb.

...which is which? As both seem to be rather nonsense. 'Purity Tests' is mostly just a term invented for 'Someone has an objection but that Objection is in a leftist way'. Like nobody is calling Schumer having 'Purity Tests' for refusing to go along with other democrats recently.

It let me have 'Sidereal Exalted', 'Adepta Sororitas' *and* 'Sailor Scouts' all as one.

My addition for my campaign:
Sisters are 'Of Battle' and have a lot of other options (Famulous, Hospitaler etc)
Sidereal Exalted have these 5 groups, including Battles...
Orders Sabine: Mercury
Orders Militant: Mars
Orders Famulus: Venus
Orders Pronatus Jupiter
Orders Hospitaler: Saturn

Yesss.
God I love this game. I am in envy as a designer of it's ability to make shit work in a vaguely coherent way.
One of my longest running campaigns was in that setting (With some of my own weird additions like what I did with Sisters of Battle).

Well, they're still an imperial power actively engaged in conquest, colonialism and genocide. Like, the Great Khans get Actively Genocided even in the ending where they expressly fight WITH the NCR against the Legion.

I can understand 'I saw something in this and it meant a lot to me' but like...definitionally even flawed rep is better representation than 'I saw myself in it'.
That said: As someone autistic, Entrapta speaks to me.

As someone with a lot of headcanon about things: Headcanon is not representation. Christ.

...Sylvanis is queer? Man, I have no recollection of when that was revealed. Was it before or after the war crimes?

Cool but there's other countries out there having Actual Federal Elections so maybe ask before you bitch at people over things that likely make plenty of sense within their electoral system.
comment in response to

...you might want to actually mention them, if you're going to mention them. This was a talk about Hillary, who was chosen by the primary and then failed to achieve results.

...you seem to have me mistaken for a liberal. I'm not.

I mean, if my argument was 'you have to win', I'd likely use a candidate that actually won as an example, instead of one who's famous for Not Being President despite making 'I will be president' a major part of her marketing.
comment in response to
post
I mean...neither could she. That's pretty much one of the definitive facts of that election. Hillary didn't get the votes. That's why she wasn't President.
comment in response to
post
...what part of that was deep throating bush? I expressly called Gore the more qualified candidate.
comment in response to
post
Only if you're American. Some countries have functional electoral systems where third party votes don't defeat the entire purpose of that third party.
comment in response to
post
It's sorta why I put a very low stock in 'Most Qualified Candidate' talk. The greatest qualification a candidate can have is 'Able to get elected', as that's the gate that everyone needs to pass through.
Al Gore was a very qualified candidate. Never made President.
comment in response to

And a lot of it comes from Republican Talk Show Hosts (Who were themselves sexist). Rush Limbaugh has a lot to answer for but the unfortunate thing is 'It doesn't matter how fair or unfair a criticism is, when it comes to how it affects electability'

More accurately: Voters who vote in primaries voted for her. As well...it didn't work out that way post the primary.
I'm not saying that democrats didn't vote for her in the primary. I'm saying that the democratic process can fuck up and deliver candidates that won't succeed in the General Election
comment in response to
post
...I'll admit, while I don't have as much vitriol for her as others I'm kinda baffled by her as a choice.
She was for full on decades the punching bag as an 'out of touch, barely human politician' by things as mainstream as SNL.
That's a level of baggage that's hard to overcome for any campaign.

Like the current bullshit with ICE? There were leftists getting insulted for calling them fascists and saying they should be abolished before Trump because while they've hit a highwater mark of horrible, they were doing this shit even during democratic leadership.
