My son and I are going to Copenhagen. (I don't mind saying since my husband and other son are at home.)

Interesting how PPC is no one else's second choice, only some Conservatives.

Thanks. I was looking for a fun read. Found the ebook at the library. 😀

I felt like "transformational" was not a compliment in the context of his remarks, but referenced the way DT has upended international relations.

The great irony is that the biggest companies aren't even Canadian. So much of that O&G money leaves Alberta as foreign profits.

Should I assume that the way you draw Trump being so close to the way you draw Ford is intentional?

Thanks, Paula. Every bit of awareness helps.

As a Karen who is tired of her name being maligned, I sure do wish society would come up with a term that isn't anyone's name. (More on topic, when Canadians are aware of the kind of work our senators do, they are quite supportive.)

I saw him on CBC on election night. Is he waiting for Polievre to be turfed so he can vie for the leadership?

Love the visual reminder that people vote, not land. This is a big land with a relatively small population.

As someone who spent most of my life in Alberta, I'd say western Cons are already pretty darn polarized, which pushes the rest of us away. I don't know how we get past that.

I still remember Harper getting his majority gov by vote splitting in southern Ontario. It was so frustrating.

I have a friend who lives in Calgary Centre. The Lib candidate is getting traction. I expected to see a few red seats in Edmonton.

We are relieved.

I lived in Alberta most of my life. That is typical. Any liberal or NDP seats will be in Edmonton and Calgary.

I hope it gets Liberal supporters out to vote in the highest turnout ever.

For some reason I never got my bike out of the shed last year. I rode a few times this week and felt like a kid, gliding along, dinging my bell to pass people. I loved it.

Ooh. Great (new to me) link. Thanks! I will be checking it out.

I'm sticking with disappointed. I have the pleasure of knowing several poets across the country and to see this award taken away from them saddens me. These kind of prizes should celebrate Canadian talent.

I loved that series and thought about it recently in terms of, if we in Canada stay democratic but are living beside fascists, will we start to slide into fascism?

Because they want Rebel Media and their ilk to rise in prominence.

It's what this particular pope would have wanted.

My first reaction was to wonder why the negative numbers weren't higher.

Haha. I didn't see this one until after I'd posted my version. I always appreciate a Star Wars reference.

It's going to cost us to get out from under the US economic 'thumb'. Carney has never said otherwise. We have to think big (and long term).

I believe you, and for that reason I'm not going to do that search. 🤮

Dang. We still need that sarcasm font. (I'm not even going to ask where you found that creepy picture.)

Voted. ☑️♥️ Hoping the Carney team triumphs.
